"Good morning (Y/N)!" Hoseok shot me a bright smile as he unlocked the door and allowed me to walk in past him without even bothering to keep the door open for the invisible angel following me. Jin cursed from outside before he slowly copied Hoseoks actions and successfully conquered the door.
"Nothing is too much for me." Jin said as he patted down his toga before walking over to the corner of the care and taking a seat down on the couch before he picked up one of the magazines that were sitting on the glass table in front of him and looked at the pictures rather than the words.
I went out to the back room and quickly packed my things away in the lockers before tying my apron around my waist and heading back out to the cafe. Hoseok walked out of the back room with the open sign and walked out the front door with a small flag also pinned underneath his arm as he began to set up the signage.
"Are you just going to be sitting there for the whole day?" I asked Jin as I began to do the routine cleaning of the coffee machines as I occasionally looked over to Jin.
"I'm quiet enjoying these scrolls that you have called 'magazines'. The mortals never cease to amaze me." Jin shook his head in wonder at the colour paper that was printed with pictures and articles. I giggled as I emptied out the old coffee ground tin and walked over to Jin as I began to wipe down the glass table in front of him.
"How about after my shift we go to the mall together?" I proposed the idea to Jin who was suddenly interested in my conversation, "I can buy you some clothes so that you don't have to wear that toga around all the time."
Jin's face faltered for a moment before he nodded with a bright glint in his eyes as he began to beam in excitement of the afternoons outing.
"Oh that sounds fantastic. I hope this ball has many wonderous things!" Jin clapped as he sat the magazine down on the couch beside him and crossed his legs.
I laughed louder than I expected myself to before I corrected the Angel for thinking of the wrong mortal word.
"No Jin, not a ball. A mall. With a M instead of a B. It's where you go to buy clothes and a lot more other things. They even have food places in there as well for those who need to eat or drink."
He nodded his head and quickly wrote it down in the book that he had brought along with him. I'm sure that he was taking notes so he could understand such a strange place.
"I wonder what eating is like.." he cooed at the thought and became lost in his own little dream like state as he stared at the cafe windows and pondered over his questions.
I shook my head before returning to the counter and cleaning down everything before our morning rush of customers came through. Sure enough, within the first five minutes of open time, two women came in looking very sharp and smart in their blouses and pencil skirts as they approached the counter.
"Good morning (Y/N)!" They said in unison upon seeing me. Every morning these two would come in and order two tall cappuccino's with soy milk and one sugar. It was easy to memorise someone's order when you have a face to match it.
"Good morning ladies!" I greeted them with a grin as I walked over to the coffee machine and started to ground the coffee beans, "how are we this morning?"
"We are very tired. The both of us were on the phone with each other for most of the night trying to sort out the documents for our pitch meeting this morning." The first woman groaned as she rubbed her neck, a nod coming from the second one.
"It's true. We are pitching a huge product to our company and in all honesty I've never been so nervous in all my life." The second woman fretted.
I tutted as I stamped down the coffee grounds before putting it into the machine and placing the to-go coffee cups underneath the pourers as I began to warm the milk underneath the frother.
"Being nervous or anxious will not help your cases," I told them with a soft voice as I poured the milk into their coffees and added the sugar into the liquid, "I know that it is a scary thing to do- but you guys have the courage that not many others have to do. Just remember that when it's time for your meeting ok?"
I added the lids to their coffee's before placing two complimentary shortbread biscuits to the tops of their lids and handing it to them with a warm smile as I saw the relief in their eyes as they heeded my words.
"You are such a beautiful woman. Thank you for always being the one we can talk to about our insecurities." The second woman said before looking to her friend who spoke next.
"We would be lost without someone like you!"
"Good luck today ladies. I believe in you. Be sure to come back and tell me how it went!" I waved them off as they left the cafe with beaming smiles to me as they chatted about their meeting.
"You're so kind (Y/N)," Hoseok said as he stepped out from the back room, wiping down some plates that he had just cleaned, "isn't it exhausting?"
I turned and smiled to my boss before shaking my head and offering him a grin,
"Not when I get to see their smiles."
