The train station was packed with people who were eager to head home after their hard day of work. I led my harmed angel to a carriage that had two spare seats and quickly sat him down at the window and I sat back down beside him in the aisle side.
"Is there anything I can do to help you?" I asked him as I looked at his wounds with worry in my eyes while he smiled and attempted to hide his pain.
"Unless you have the fire from an infant orion dragon we are out of luck. They will just have to heal with time." His eyes were speaking to me more than his words were, showing me the pain and uncomfort that he was feeling.
"Excuse me miss, do you mind moving over a seat? Everywhere else is full." A young woman asked me as she held what I assumed was her son's hand. Her son tiredly clung to her hand with tired eyes as he looked up to me.
"She thinks I'm a spare seat," Jin whispered as he grabbed onto my hand and pulled me over into his lap in a swift movement, quickly making me look comfortable, "to them it looks like you're sitting on a seat, so please look comfortable."
I gave the mother a smile as I gestured for her to sit and she thanked me as she sat down and helped her son crawl up onto her lap to let him nap on her shoulder until their next stop.
I looked at the both of them for a moment as I was pleasantly met with the feeling of content as I slowly adjusted myself on Jin's thighs before my back rested against his chest and my head rested upon his shoulder and looked out the window as the train started to move.
"Are you tired?" Jin whispered to me as he gently wrapped his arms around my waist to steady me upon the moving train.
I slowly shook my head in disagreement to try and not make it obvious to the mother besides me. I can't imagine what she would think if she saw me answering a question that she didn't hear herself. It would've made the trip very awkward for her.
"You can sleep if you'd like to. I can wake you up again once it is time for us to leave the train," Jin told me as he gently placed his head on my shoulder, "I'll watch over you."
Immediately a wave of fatigue passed over me as I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep after hearing Jin's proposal. It was as if my body was craving a nap to try and process everything in a healthy way.

"I believe this is our stop." Jin's voice rang through my ears as my eyes flew open and I stretched my arms above my head as I read the train station that we had arrived at. Sure enough, Jin had done his duty and woke me up once we had arrived at our stop.
I quickly stood up from his lap and left the carriage with Jin's bag of clothes in my hand and my other hand taking hold of Jin to make sure I didn't loose him along the way. The last thing I needed was Jin disappearing in the city.
"Let's head home," I told him in a tired tone of voice as I tried to wake myself up from my deep and much needed nap. There were no dreams while I rested- which told me that I was exhausted.
We walked in silence for a little while, I had let go of Jin's hand and granted him the freedom to now walk by himself as he followed behind me.
"I'm sorry if today upset you (Y/N)," he suddenly said, "it must've been very confusing for you. Especially since you've only recently just discovered your ability to see everything."
I took in a breath as I smiled over my shoulder to Jin, "it's hard yes. But I don't have a choice, I have to live with it. I was more worried about what could happen to you. I really don't want you being hurt."
"I can mend quiet easily with time. It takes a lot to kill an angel, you know." He beamed with pride but his smile quickly faltered as he cleared his throat and stopped at my apartments staircase, "it still isn't an excuse if it worries you."
"I don't have a choice do I?" I asked him as I opened the door and held it open for him- "you have to do your job and I have to try and live with that."
Jin cautiously walked up the stairs. It was almost like he was afraid they were going to fly out from beneath his feet as he trod across them.
"You are very brave." He said as he closed the door behind him and followed me to my apartment where he watched me fondle with my keys for a moment before I unlocked the door and entered in. He too closed this one.
"Well this isn't the hardest thing I've faced before. I know what it is like to go through something you never thought would happen to you....." I trailed off for a moment before clearing my throat and heading to the kitchen to make myself something to eat.
Jin took this as an opportunity to sit down in my lounge and adjust the make-shift splinter that I had placed on his wing. I was guessing that it was on the mend because he seemed quiet eager to get it off. He was missing his usual mode of transportation, and was excited to be able to get his wings back into action.
I just hoped this didn't mean I'd have to join him in the angelic death trap.
