- JIN'S POV -

I was anything but safe.

This was one of the most dangerous situations that I could ever be in. Not only did I have to leave (Y/N) without my supervision- but I had to find and kill a demon. Which is a messy job on its own.

I managed to get back to where (Y/N) and I were before I sensed the demonic presence. I knew that I was about to do the impossible, considering that I had one injured wing and about half the light energy that I needed to conjure up a weapon to defend myself with.

I decided that I had to feed before I went into battle, so I scanned around the shopping centre looking for a delicious treat. I spotted something over by some very strange tubes which children were crawling all over. I believe that (Y/N) told me it was called playground equipment. I quickly made my way over.

There was a group of children who may be around three or four years old. Giggling and spreading joy with the friends that they were making. I watched as the light from them began to stretch out into all different directions- a free meal.

I quickly reached up and grabbed hold of a stranded bit of their aura, the part of their aura that their subconscious had created. Basically, it meant that when mortals get happy or excited their aura's disperse and create larger copies of themselves so that they are able to grow to another size to hold their hosts happiness.

As I absorbed the light I couldn't help but chuckle as I felt the happiness that was contained within it. Harmless and oblivious moments of a child's life were the ones that were often taken for granted in the future.

I felt myself grow stronger as soon as I had finished consuming my first meal on earth. My senses had hightened almost immediately and I felt much less fatigue. Everything felt better than it did before- almost as if I had been mended entirely.

Everything except for my wing, which I suspected will take another few weeks to mend even if I did have magical assistance to help it along. I would be lying if I said my lack of flight wouldn't affect my fighting skills because it definetly does. Hopefully my weapon would be able to make up for the fact that I can't fly.

As I made my way back to where I sensed the demon I tried to narrow down the possibilities of who it might be. I know the dark leader is responsible for the placement of this demon because it wasn't just a normal level of dark energy. It was something that felt so evil it almost made me sick.

As I approached the area I noticed that there was an uneven level of oxygen in the air. It was almost like it was laced with something that was meant to repel. It would explain the absence of the mortals anyhow.

"Seokjin." A voice hissed through the room, "they send a lowly clutz like you to protect the shrouded one?"

I followed the voice's origin and turned around to see the one I suspected would be who I met. The dark leaders minion and most loved creation.

His eyes left a burning feeling across my skin as he smirked at me, "they must be out of their minds. You're even wounded? My master will reward me greatly for bringing your head back to him."

"Taehyung." I spat at him and took in his appearance. Golden eyes, even more intimidating with the feline slits within them. A pair of
cream-coloured horns curling from his head of pitch black hair. Around his bottom lip curled two lip piercings which were what I took as a gift from his master.

It wasn't very common for the dark leader to have a favourite, but Taehyung was the only exception. If the dark leader wanted a job done right with no loose ends he would always send his most loyal and most loving creation. It proved to me how much he wanted me to disappear so he could get to (Y/N).

"Come now Seokjin. I wish to play before I use every inch of my being to destroy you."  His pearly white teeth glistened in the light as he bared his fangs toward me in a dominant way. He was trying to intimidate me into a state of fear.

And it was working really well.

I quickly summoned my weapons through my palms. Almost immediately a pair of whips covered in pure light were sitting comfortably within my palms. The lines of light coiled in dangerous wisps as it connected with my energy and felt my adrenaline rise within my being.

Taehyung was smart enough to know that making the first move could result in something that would slow him down. I decided that I would do exactly what he wanted to.

We were going to play.

I shot out my left whip and struck the floor beside Taehyung's left foot to test his reflexes. I was surprised to see that he didn't even flinch at my movements and instead hummed in his own sick little sense of humour before he produced a pair of black wings that resembled those of a bats.

They were not built for flying, but more for agility during battle. This gave him the advantage of moving around at trumendous speeds.

"Play." Taehyung repeated to himself as he quickly took off from the floor with his sharp nails resembling a daggers tip as he aimed for my throat with bared fangs and a dangerous glint within his eyes.

I raised my whips above my head and quickly lashed them down in front of me in the form of an x to defend myself from the vicious demons attack.
There was a quick break in the air and Taehyung was suddenly behind me standing with his arms crossed and an evil grin as he waited for me to react.

My whips fell down by my side within my palms as I felt a sharp sting across my face. I quickly tapped the area and looked at my fingertips to be met with the rich colour of gold- pure liquid which was my blood.

"You just cut my beautiful face," I said as I turned to face Taehyung with an enraged look about me, "now I have two reasons to kill you."
