Chapter 10: Captured Then Escaped

We went on our horses and followed the Armored titan. Bertholdt and Eren were there at its back. We went faster.

Mikasa hooked up at the titan and let herself stand on it. The armored titan took Bertholdt with Eren and covered them with its arms. There was only a small opening.

I looked behind me and ordered my squadmates to hook up at the titan too. We hooked all our wires at the titan. It ran a bit faster.

"Bertholdt stop this!", yelled Mikasa.

"No!", Bertholdt replied.

"Mikasa. Talking won't do good. Defeat them and all this will be done with no harm.", I started.

"But how Sir? The armored has full armor. We can't make a scratch!", started Petra.

"I have some blades that I got from Hanji. That'll help.", I continued.

I took out a special blade that can cut through the armor. I slashed at the nape, making an opening for the flesh. The titan ran faster, almost making us lose our balance.

I slashed the nape off and pulled Reiner out of there, throwing him to the ground. Oluo and the others grabbed both Bertholdt and Eren as the armored titan fell down.

We all landed on the ground safely. I tied up Bertholdt and Reiner's hands with handcuffs to avoid them turning into titans.

"We'll ask you two questions later. We have to head back to the wall first.", I said.

We hop on our horses. I was with Bertholdt and Oluo had Reiner on our horses. We headed back to the walls.

Finally, we reached the walls. A lot of scouts were waiting at the gate. Hanji came darting forward.

"Oh! So those are the ones behind the beautiful titans!", she shouted.

We halted our horses and let them down on the ground. I saw Erwin walk towards us.

"So we have new titan shifters.", Erwin began.

"Yes but they won't be joining our side unlike Eren.", I replied.

"I see. Hold them prisoners then."

"Yes sir."

We led them towards the dungeon and tied them up in chains.

"You two are a threat to humanity. Better stay her and rot.", I told them.

"We will erase humanity!", Reiner shouted, struggling to be free.

"Is your action as stupid as yourself? We won't let that happen. Remember who you're talking to right now.", I continued.

"We will soon get out of here and kill everyone you love! 'HUMANITY'S STRONGEST'.", Bertholdt proclaimed.

"I'd like to see you try. You will probably see your bodies in the pile of people you've killed.", I said.

I didn't want to hear anymore of their threats so I walked away.

I'd like to see them try. They'll make a choice they will regret forever.

I saw Petra, Eren and the others outside, waiting.

"How'd it go?", Petra asked.

"They're trying to threaten me. But they won't and will never succeed.", I replied.

"They better die!", Eren said as he grabbed me by the collar of my shirt. "You should've killed them already back then!"

"It's not as easy as you think Eren."

"But--"

"Just be quiet and let's go."

We walked back to the headquarters.

The Next Day

The whole squad woke up early and began their day. I was sitting near the window, sipping my tea when I heard a loud banging at my door.

I looked behind me.

"Come in.", I said.

The door opened and Hanji darted towards me. "Levi! Levi!"

"What is it four eyes."

"Remember those titan shifters yesterday?!"

"Yeah why? Do you plan to experiment on them?"

"I was about to but when I looked at their cells, they're gone!!!"

"Gone?! How?! The guards are all around the cell!"

"I don't even know!"

"Let's go see."

We hurried to the dungeon and ran to their cells. Like Hanji said, they were gone. Their chains were broken but the cell door wasn't opened an inch.

I looked around and saw no guards.

Did they beat them up? And how did they escape?!

I clutched my fist. "Search for them! Don't stop until they're not found!!!", I proclaimed.

Scouts went all over the walls in search for Bertholdt and Reiner. They weren't found.

Day aftet day, they searched everywhere but still no sign of them. They were suddenly gone...

Suddenly gone that it seemed suspicious...

No news about them were told for years... Like they've vanished...
