Part one,
Mia was standing in front of her tall mirror in her room, watching as her dress fell just above her knees in a soft bounce and trailed the pattern of flowers with her fingers on her dress. Maddox said this dress would work well enough to wear and Mia felt comfortable wearing it too since she really liked the dress.
It was Sunday. The sun was long gone and the sky was pitch black as the black hole as the shine from stars lightened up the sky.
Just ten minutes. Mia thought as she stood in the silent room of her but she still wasn't so sure. She felt so conflicted about what she should do although she shouldn't be feeling it. Aiden told her not to come but Maddox said to give it a chance because it was 'just a party'. What could go wrong? As Maddox asked.
But what if Aiden is at the party? Mia suddenly thought and the blush made it to her cheeks.
B-But what was the chance of us seeing each other?
Mia was only going to be there for ten minutes if she didn't like it and Aiden was probably going to be busy and has probably forgotten about Mia anyways so why should she care? She hadn't seen or spoken to him since the last time so it was unlikely for him to even remember what he did... right?
Mia sighed heavily and dropped her body on the bed in a soft thud. An easy decision suddenly becomes a hard one. But she was going, her nerves were just playing with her. Mia has never gone to a party and it was something new to her she couldn't help but feel nervous. The party was all the scary people were— or it was just normal people from her school but Mia thought everyone she didn't know looked scary.
A glance over the clock on one of Mia's walls, she noticed the time hitting where she should carry off. Apparently, you should not come when the party starts, you should come after that time which made Mia frown because she didn't know why it was necessary to come late. She hated coming late but Maddox was determined to inform her not to come in time so she gave in.
Mia sighed the last time before she stood up from her bed and straightened out her dress.
She went over to her nightstand to pick up her phone with her sweaty hand. She was nervous. She dimmed the light in her lamp to a soft shine, the one you almost turned off the light. She made sure that the lamp on her nightstand was the only lamp that was turned on and had enough brightness to not raise suspicion.
Her mom didn't know what she was going to do but Mia highly thought her mother would even care. But you can never be so sure.
Mia tiptoed to her door as she silently opened it to peek her head out from the small crease. The lights were off and darkness was surrounding the hallway. No one was there. And a sign that Liam and Mia's mother was asleep.
With a careful step on the soft carpet floor forward, Mia was out of her room as she closed the door behind her carefully slow to not raise any noise. Mia's mother was a light sleeper and any sounds could wake her up.
Mia's bare feet touched the soft carpet floor silently. She was only steps from the stairs as she crossed Liam's room which rose heavy snores in the air. Liam was a heavy sleeper and a loud snorer.
Mia did a side glance at his closed door with an unbelievable look on her face. How could someone snore so loud?
With the noisy sound of a snore, Mia almost jumped straight up in the air at the sudden two octaves louder noise coming through the air, she tiptoed-dashed to the stairs in a hurry, hairs on her arms stood up and her heart raised. Sometimes Liam's snores could scare her to death.
She let out a small puff from her lips as she continued to tiptoe in the dark down the stairs.
And if that wasn't enough, one of Mia's feet slipped off on one step which she didn't see in the darkness, her body tilted and almost fell down. If she didn't catch the grip on the railing in time, it was definitely going to hurt. Her heart pounded hard against her rib cage.
