"You coming to the party next week?" Snapped Mia out of her deep thoughts when Maddox came strolling down from the lunch line, holding her tray of fries she only liked eating in her hands before she dropped them to the table Mia was sitting at.
"P-Party?" Mia asked softly yet confused about that sudden question Maddox told Mia as the first sentence she had told her that day.
"Yes, idiot. Party." Maddox giggled low at Mia's slumped state. It was wrong to say that Mia was a little distractive. And by a little, Mia was deep down fully distractive of that morning, she couldn't seem to think about anything else than that. Oh boy, she never thought he would walk through those doors again. She never thought he'd show up again so she could guess she was pretty distractive in her own thoughts.
Mia shivered when she recalled that moment not long ago. It was after when she had seen him walk through the hallway, 2 periods later and she was still distracted by that brown-eyed boy that seemed to make her flushed by one look. And it didn't help that everyone talked about it either.
She had walked out from her second lesson, decided that she needed air though she felt suffocated by everyone whispering and just the whole tension made her dizzy. So she squeezed between people, and thankfully by her small frame she was able to make it out alive through the school doors, but never did she thought he would be standing just a few feet away from her, leaning against the wall calmly as he smoked a cigarette in peace, already mad as fuck by the nosy people trying to talk to him or touch him like he was some fucking chained animal.
Mia rolled her shoulder back, taking a deep breath of fresh air as she closed her eyes walking. Big mistake. As she walked a stone she didn't notice lied just where she walked making her stumbled over it and lost her balance. Maybe it wasn't that big mistake because just as she was about to fall, to strong arms wrapped themselves around Mia's waist in a stronghold. Very stronghold.
Mia was flushed and pressed up against a hard chest as she opened her eyes, and again she felt her throat close when she locked her blue eyes on that cold brown eyes. She didn't know what to do at that moment. The boy she literally had a hardcore crush on had his arms wrapped around her in an iron hold, steel eyes flickered between her own, not even surprised he had that emotionless face like he always had. So she did what she did best. She panicked.
Her heart started to beat faster when she felt his body heat, as she choked down her stress knot in her throat, in a cough.
"I-I... I'm s-" She stressed trying to apologize, but choking on her fast breathing and made it impossible for her to form a sentence. But that didn't matter because Aiden's hand flew off her waist up to her face as he pressed a finger on her pink lips that were trying to form a word to silence her up.
"Shh, " He whispered softly, knowing that Mia was probably confused and nervous by the action she just did. Mia's eyes went wide at that moment, Aiden's finger pressed on her lips, and made blush appear on her cheeks when she realized what she had done. She was embarrassed but Aiden already knew that but didn't take any action to that. Probably would scare her away.
"Are you okay?" Aiden questioned gently before he pulled away his finger dropping it to her waist again.
Something in Mia snapped as she straightened up her form. "Y-Yeah, " Was all she dared to say, still affected by Aiden's touch and his gentleness in his voice that she had never heard before, but it made her swoon even harder for him.
