Part two,

It's been two minutes and Mia already had a headache from the loud noises and the music.

She and Maddox were squeezing between people that was occupied doing stuff that made Mia's blush expand. She had a tight grip on Maddox's hand, afraid to lose her in the crowded living room. They plopped out of the heavy sea of people, and then Maddox pulled them to stand beside a tall round table that reached up to Mia's chest.

She started to giggle at Maddox's pissed face as she poured herself a cup of whatever was in that can that stood on the table. "This is fun," Maddox said in sarcasm. She never liked when people were invading her personal space.

Maddox's mode swings could change in the blink of an eye and that wasn't anything new to Mia. "It is." Mia giggled, already knowing Maddox would give her the look before she took a sip from the cup, and then her pissed-off face was replaced with a disgusting face.

"What the fuck, " She mumbled to herself and looked at the cup.

"Is- Is it good?" She heard Mia from the other side of the table with that innocent face leaning on one of her hands whose elbow was placed on the table.

Maddox rolled her eyes as she leaned against the wall sloppy beside the table as she raised the cup to her lips. "No, " She replied in a grunt and took a sip again.

Mia watched as Maddox drank from the cup. If she didn't like it then why did she drink it?

Mia gazed at the room, seeing many people dancing around the music just as her eyes traveled back to Maddox again. Her cup raised to her lips but froze mid-air— her gaze turned into a glare, one Mia knew was a bad one.

Mia followed that glare and found herself looking at Lucas standing with a crowd of people, again talking to that red-headed girl Mia saw in P.E. Lucas was leaning against one of the back couches as the red-headed girl was standing tightly in front of him, both holding a red cup.

Mia happened to look around him, no one seemed familiar to her. She breathed out— Aiden wasn't there.

Mia was clueless about what happened at that moment because in one second Maddox was leaning off the wall as she shoved the cup to Mia. "Hold my cup." Was all she said, gaze still on the two of them across the room before she dropped the cup in Mia's hands and walked in the crowded area, disappearing from her sight.

Mia almost dropped the cup from her hands but held it tightly with both hands. She looked up but Maddox was already gone from her sight and now Mia was alone— four minutes have gone by.

She pouted.

Since she was alone she didn't know what to do. She stood there gazing at people, too afraid to do anything else than just looking. This was still a strange place to her and she was too shy doing what everyone else was doing. Then Mia gazed at the cup in her hands. The liquid looked orange-pinkish, probably reflecting from the red walls. She didn't know what was in it so slowly she brought the cup to her nose at smelled it. Then Mia took it away. It smelled strange in a funny way.

Maybe the liquid could help her with the headache caused by the loud music and people shouting. Mia shrugged and just as the edge of the cup touched her lips a voice sounded from beside her. "Hey." The manly voice said, making Mia snap the cup back as she almost jumped out of her skin. The grip on the cup tightened as she gazed at the guy.

From beside her, a tall guy was wearing black jeans with some expensive-looking shirt on. Black hair and blue eyes were what stood out of him the most and made Mia clench that cup to her chest. She pressed herself further to the wall as the unknown guy smirked down at her.
