"Don't freak out, okay?"

Mia nodded her head eagerly as she waited for Maddox to continue what she was confessing. She took a deep breath, looked around the hallway before she moved back to Mia, knowing fully well that she was going to freak out. "Okay, so Lucas... kinda, sorta- askedmeoutonadate."

It was quiet for a while. Mia looked wide-eyed at Maddox with a hesitantly smile on her lips- not that she knew anything about it, she was just trying to register what her best friend said in that rushed tone. Maddox bit her bottom lip anxiously as she waited for Mia's response.

At last, Mia's lips broke into a heartwarming smile with even more dilated eyes as she realized what Maddox was implying. "Date? Like a date date?" Mia eyed how Maddox rolled her brown visions in bitterness as she responded with a forced, "yes." Through gritted teeth. Maddox really felt uncomfortable talking about her "dating life" (she never wanted to admit it) in public where every nosy people has their chin too high up in people's business but since Mia was her best friend, she decided that she at least deserved to know.

Mia sucked in an opening mouth breath as she was really to squeal out loud in happiness but before that Maddox slapped her hand over her opened mouth. "Scream, and we'll have a problem." Maddox threatened even though Mia could sense it was some teasing manner in it. Mia closed her mouth behind Maddox's hand but her brightening smile never faltered, her blue eyes glimmered in the glow of the daylight as well as her brown hair.

She grasped Maddox's hand away from her mouth as she held it in a firm grip that wasn't really firm and slipped it off her mouth. "When is it?" Mia eagerly asked as she held her best friend's hand close to her chest, hopeful eyes on display.

Maddox gazed around the walking students, not wanting them all too close to her as she stepped closer to Mia and whispered in her ear, "on Saturday." Mia's smile widened as she looked up at Maddox that had a tiny smile herself.

She looked happy in her eyes. Which Maddox rarely looked.

Mia gasped as she responded, "that's like... not long!" She cheered, her response was hesitant as she didn't remember what day it was.

Maddox rolled her eyes likewise just as the bell rang through the hall, indicating for them to go to class. "Tell someone and I'm going to personally choke you to the devil's asshole and back." Maddox's eyes were narrowed as she pointed a threatening finger towards her short best friend.

Mia did a cheeky smile as she zipped her lips, "I swear." She held up her palm in the air. She was already used to Maddox's threatening phrases although she did not appropriate any of them she wasn't so affected by it anymore- and besides, that's how they became friends.

"Great," Maddox chirped, "see you after school." She blew a kiss Mia's way before she twirled around her heels and walked to her class. Mia waved back at Maddox even though she couldn't see it. "Bye, Maddie!" She called sweetly after her by a nickname Maddox sure hated with all her guts. Maddox turned around, already a glow of a glare resting within her sights. Mia shut her mouth tight, blush spreading on her cheeks as more than one pair of eyes looked at her, and turned around to run away to her class, followed by a giggle.

She was feeling extra happy that day- probably because of Maddox's confession that Lucas finally asked her out since she had been shipping them for too long but also that she was going to a special class. Very special one- math.

Where a special human being had to.

A very beautiful and handsome one.

To the class where Aiden went to.
