Hard to Get

Chapter 1: New School

Tyler's POV~

Today, I start a new life in a new school. I've always wanted to go to this school. This school was Travis High School. It was a very popular school in the state of Arizona. At least it's very popular around my general area. Anyway, there's rumors that this school is full of nice people, and I've always wanted to know for myself. My parents drive me to the school. My mom looks at me with a smile. "Have fun at your first day of school, dear."

I nod my head as I walk inside the schools and get my schedule. I walk to my locker and see someone drop their stuff. Since no one else was around, I ran over and helped pick their stuff up. I noticed that this person was a wolf.

Beastman aren't rare to find. You can see them everywhere. Mainly dog and cat ones. Seeing a wolf is kind of rare.

He picks up the last of his things and heads for his class after thanking me. I head to my own class, but got lost. I keep wandering around the halls, getting slightly frustrated as I keep on searching. I keep looking and eventually found my home room teacher's name on a door. The teacher glances at me and tells me to introduce myself to the class.

I walked up to the front of the classroom and said "My name is Tyler Phillips. I hope we can get along well." The teacher then told me to sit down at a desk. I look around and find an empty spot. I sit down in my new seat and noticed that I was sitting next to the same wolf that was in the hall.

Axel's POV~

I sat in my desk playing on my phone, not caring too much about the new kid. That was until I noticed he was the one that helped me in the hall. He sat next to me and noticed who I was. I had a feeling that I should've been more respectful when he helped me, so I decided to say something at lunch. Plus, I can't ignore the fact that he's kind of cute.

I keep watching the clock, hoping for this class to be over soon. Time passed and it was finally time for lunch. I leaned against the wall in the cafeteria, waiting for Tyler to find a place to sit. Once he finally sat down, I took my packed lunch and sat across from him. He then looked at me confused. I took my hand out to shake his.

Tyler's POV~

I was surprised when the same wolf from earlier sat in front of me and asked to shake my hand. I nervously took my hand out and we shake hands as he said "My names Axel. I thought I should've thanked you with more respect."

I nod and he asks "So, what's your favorite subject?" I look at him and said "Science." He nods and asks "So, how smart are you?" I look at him confused and I tell him "I'm usually an A and B with an occasional C kind of guy."

He nods and it makes me wonder about him. I mean, he looks like he's popular. I don't know why he'd have interest in talking with me.

"Well, enough about me, is there anything you like to do?" He then says "Mostly ride dirt bikes, motorcycles, and so on." I look at him with bright eyes and said "Really, that's amazing!" He then looks at me with a smile and asks me "You really think so?" I nod and said "Yeah, I find people that are able to ride bikes of any kind to be impressive." He nods and says in a joking way "Even tricycles?" I smile at his joke and said "You know what I meant."

Axel's POV~

He thinks I'm impressive? He's kind, he's smart, he likes what I do, and he really freaking cute? Oh, he's done it now. He stole my heart from me, and I want it back. He'll fall for me eventually. After all, there's so many people in the grade that love me. He'll be the one I choose.

I walk over and sit beside him. "So, what brings you to a school like this?" He looks at me with no emotion. "Well, I've heard a lot of good rumors about this school. Plus, I've always wanted to go here."

I smirk and wrap my arm around him as I say "Oh really? Are you sure you didn't come here just to see me?"

He looks at me weirdly and says "No, and we just met." The bell goes off as we finish lunch. Luckily, he just happened to have every class with me. I can always watch over him. One day, he'll beg to be in my arms. Just imagining it makes my stomach fill up with butterflies.

As I was imagining my future with Tyler, he then calls my name. Getting out of my trance, I look at him and ask him what he needed. "Are you okay?" I then give him a look of confusion as I say "Umm. Yeah, why do you ask?" He looks behind me and says "Well, your tail is going about 120 miles per hour." I look back and notice that my tail was wagging really fast.

I smirk as I put a hand on his shoulder and say "Well, that's because I'm here with you." He rolls his eyes with a smile. "Again, not interested. But I hope we can be good friends." After that, he walked to his next class. I sit there thinking in my head "So, he's not interested in me?" I chuckle.

"Don't worry, I'll make sure you fly right into my loving arms. If it's a game of chase you want, a game of chase you'll have." I then walk to my next class as I say "After all, I love a good game of Hard to Get."
