I feel terrible about my lack of consistency. But I'm in college again and it's been quite stressful already. I can't promise my updates will be close together but I can promise that I won't give up on this story, I still have more to write about.

"Please, tell me you're joking," Jin half-laughed at the younger boy. He waited for a second to see any change in the blonde's expression but Jimin didn't falter.

"I'm not," Jimin insisted as the three of them entered the convenience store. Jin looked over to Yoongi for help, but all the boy did was give a shrug. He would be no help. "Now what color do think you want?"

Jimin had asked the eldest that afternoon that he wanted to change his hair color. Jin had explained that there was a special way to do so. It wasn't as exciting as Jimin thought but understood the method and Jin offered to take him to the store.

Jin led them down the right aisle, stopping in front of the different faces. Jimin scanned the shelves unsure of what he should be looking for. He examined the different packages, different faces with different hair color. He ran his fingers through his hair, chewing his bottom lip in uncertainty. "My hair?"

"You mean your roots?" Yoongi piped in and Jimin nodded.

Jin grabbed a box excitedly, showing it off to Jimin. "What about pink?"

Jimin squirmed at the idea. Pink was pretty but not what he wanted right now. "Something normal," He grabbed the dark brown hair dye and studied the back. He would need Jin's help with what he was about to do. "And normal is all I need right now."

Jin and Yoongi exchanged a look and nodded. They knew they couldn't change Jimin's mind, so they agreed. Yoongi went off to buy a few things for their night in, drinks and junk food they could munch on. Namjoon had left an hour before, a patrol trip with Taehyung and they weren't sure how long would be. So, with nothing to do that night, they would dye Jimin's hair and spend the rest of it watching a movie.

--

Before Namjoon left, he entered their room to speak to Jin. He found the slightly taller boy lying down on their bed, reading one of Yoongi's books. The Alchemist.

Namjoon felt distant from Jin lately, too many nights to find Jin already asleep when he would come home late from a patrol trip. Too many nights where they would rather say nothing than fight about something. Their last fight was about Namjoon's refusal to let Jin go with him on the patrol trips. Namjoon insisted that it was for Jin's safety. However, Namjoon would never admit to Jin it was mainly because he didn't want Jin to use his powers.

"Jimin asked me this afternoon if he could change his hair color," Jin breathed out a laugh. "Isn't he the cutest?"

"That's interesting," Namjoon responded, cocking his brow. "I like his blonde hair."

"Me too," Jin smiled. For a brief moment, everything returned back to normal. It was just another regular day. Jin and Namjoon taking care of the younger boys, a role they accepted naturally.

Their smiles faltered and Jin looked away, forcing his focus on the book.

Namjoon sat on the edge of the bed. He immediately noticed that Jin went stiff, even if he tried to hide it. "How is it?" Namjoon asked. "The book."

"It's good," Jin replied, still holding the book his face.

"I'm leaving soon," Namjoon muttered softly after a moment of silence. "I'll be home late too."
