"I want to forget," Jin wept, his hands trembling on his lap. Namjoon's heart ached, he had no idea how to ease Jin's pain. Namjoon wasn't sure why they were still here. They just wanted to go home. "I don't want to feel like this anymore."
Yoongi was alone with Jimin and Namjoon had been worried all day before they left if he could handle himself. It's been almost two weeks since Yoongi woke up and this was the first night he was alone with Jimin. Of course, Jin taught him a few things – how to heat up soup and feed Jimin, but Namjoon still couldn't help but feel worried.
Now it was the last thing on Namjoon's mind. Jin was in pain. What was he supposed to do? He only wished there was some way he could take it all back. Jin should have stayed home with Yoongi and Jimin. But Felix wanted Jin there. Those were their orders and Namjoon couldn't disobey them. He should have been the one to do it – not Jin.
Now the body, left in a crisp, lay under the sheet in front of them on the metal bed. Taunting Jin.
The attack happened so fast and Namjoon was caught off guard. Namjoon had planned it all, Jin was only supposed to set off the trap but the unnamed man – simply code-named Mr. Electric – appeared out of nowhere and caught them both off-guard. Namjoon had refused to have Taehyung join them despite that the grey-haired boy had more experience. When the man attacked Jin, Namjoon could only hold him down. He hadn't expected Jin to hold onto the man's face and burn him alive.
"I hate myself." Jin whimpered. "I can't believe I did that."
"C'mere," Namjoon murmured and pulled Jin into a hug. He cupped the back of his neck, pressing his forehead against his. 'I love you so much. This was an accident."
"I can't-" Jin started.
"No," Namjoon interrupted, his voice gentle. "This was not your fault. Felix should have known better than to put you on the field."
"I should have known better," Jin gripped onto Namjoon's shirt. "I should have been better."
Namjoon kissed him. He shook the younger male gently, trying to get it in his head. "This was not your fault."
Jin said nothing. Namjoon sighed, it was really his fault and not Felix's. He was the one who set up the plan and it failed miserably. He stood up and let go of Jin. He leaned down and kissed Jin's forehead. "I'll be just a few seconds, okay?"
Jin nodded, dropping his head into his hands. Namjoon hated seeing him like this. Namjoon walked out of the room, Taehyung was standing against the opposite wall. Namjoon quickly shut the door before Jin saw him. He wanted to punch that smug look on Taehyung's face. "Talk about intense," Taehyung purred. "Who knew Jin had it in him?"
"He doesn't," Namjoon retorted. "It only happened because he saved me."
"Whatever you say," Taehyung shrugged. "But what I really think is that he really wanted to do it, he enjoyed it."
Namjoon punched the wall beside Taehyung's face. The wall broke under his fist, but Taehyung did not flinch at all. His eyes only twinkled. "You don't know what you're fucking talking about."
Taehyung rolled his eyes, brushing off the specks of debris on his shoulder. "He made Felix proud."
Namjoon was about to say something when Taehyung pushed past him. He couldn't let him leave just yet. "Wait," He called out and Taehyung slowed to a stop, but he didn't turn around. "I need your help."
Taehyung chortled, sending chills down Namjoon's neck. The way some things excited Taehyung made Namjoon feel uneasy. "And what is that?" He turned his head, smiling at Namjoon.
