His bare feet slapped against the white floor as he ran down the hallway to the common room. It had been a long four days, his workdays they called it and he definitely needed his long-awaited break. Finally, the morning came, and it was Friday. During the three days he was allowed to be free from the labs and training. From the wild noises coming from the common room, he knew they were already there.

Jimin turned into the common room and the others were too busy crammed around the couch to notice he came in. He stopped for a moment, smiling at his friends. They were talking over each other, the television on but they were focused on each other. Jimin jumped on the couch and Hoseok yelled in surprise and once he realized who was on him, he hugged the younger boy tightly.

They ate their midday snack, it was always something healthy for seven growing boys. Jimin ate the strawberries greedily, the juices bursting on his tongue, sharing a plate with Hoseok. Jungkook was running around, the youngest teasing his older brothers, and tugging at their hairs. Jin gave him a hot stare and started running after the boy, who squealed and tried to hide behind Yoongi. Jin caught the youngest and locked him in a headlock, teasing his hair until Jungkook called out in mercy.

Yoongi who did nothing to protect the youngest boy only laughed at them.

Jimin felt arms snake around his waist and suddenly he was lifted up into the air. He looked back in surprise to see his best friend smiling brightly back at him. Taehyung, who always had a twinkle in his eye, put his friend down and rested his chin on the boy's shoulder. Jimin, not the in the slightest bothered to be in his best friend's arms, leaned back into his hold. Each of them knew Jimin was sensitive, especially to his training. Taehyung just happened to know what to do or say to him to calm his nerves. Hoseok lifted a strawberry to Taehyung and fed him.

Namjoon looked like he had about enough of them already, but he still had a small smile. Thankful that they were still here. "Jimin-ssi," Namjoon called, both boys turning around to look at their leader. But their smiles faltered when they saw who was standing in the doorway, their eyes looking past Namjoon. Namjoon turned to see who it was.

Felix. "Jimin and Taehyung, let go of each other. That is very inappropriate behaviour for future partners."

Jimin frowned when Taehyung let go, who stood so still beside him. He noticed how Taehyung's hands began to tremble. Felix never visited them on their days off. "Good morning, sir," Namjoon greeted. "What brings you here?"

Felix grinned. "Good morning, boys. I'm here to ask one of you to come with me." The air felt still and each of them felt their hearts drop. Three men in white scrubs walked in behind him. "Jimin, please come with me."

"What?" Jimin whimpered, looking at each of his friends for help. "You said I was done yesterday."

"Now, Jimin," Felix demanded, sighing impatiently. "Please. Don't make me ask these kind gentlemen to restrain you again."

The six boys knew they couldn't do anything. As much as they wanted to, they couldn't protest Felix's orders. Jimin quickly glanced at Yoongi, who was looking back at him. He clutched the ring in his hand, always ready to hide it from Felix. If he ever found out about the rings, he'd take them from him and destroy them. Jimin closed his eyes, squeezing the ring, and nodded.

Namjoon stood up from his seat, taking a plate of fruit from the table and run over to Jimin. "Here," He held the plate to him. Jimin felt him take the ring. "So, you won't be hungry."

Jimin thanked him.

They led him down the hallway and toward the lab area. Felix escorted him toward a room, waving away the guards and Jimin went inside. Felix took the plate away and handed it over to one of the guards. Jimin saw random objects on the table, a telephone, a pen, and other junk. He sat down on the chair and Felix sat on the opposite side.

"From your charts, I see that you're having trouble using your powers," Felix explained, looking straight into Jimin's eyes. "What happened? You had no problem before."

Jimin lowered his head in shame, looking down at his bare feet. "I'm sorry, it's really hard."

"It's hard?" Felix questioned. "You've done all these tests before perfectly, Jimin. What's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong," Jimin mumbled, still refusing to look at him.

"Is it because of Taehyung?" Felix asked and Jimin looked up in shock. "Is he a distraction?"

"No!" He protested, trying to control the fear in his voice. "He's my friend, they all are."

Felix shook his head in disappointment. "You are my special one, you and Taehyung. I see a great future for both of you. But I can't have you get distracted anymore. You're not a child." Jimin's eyes began to tear up. He feared the worst. "I think what's best for you is to be separated from the group for a while."

"Please, no," Jimin begged, his body shaking. "I can do better."

"I know you can," Felix sighed heavily, like a disappointed parent. "But I've made my decision."

"No!" Jimin's body shook in rage. The objects on the table trembled, vibrating against the metal. He hated Felix with every fibre of his body. The table started shaking.

"Jimin," Felix warned.

"You can't do this to me," Jimin shouted. Felix clenched his jaw, his eyes turned blue. Jimin reacted quickly before he could. He grabbed the pen and threw it straight at Felix's face, the pen charged with energy and exploded – shattering into pieces. Sparks flew into Felix's face, but still, he was quick enough. He deflected Jimin's attack, all of the pieces floating in front of his face. Each piece of the shattered pen fell to the floor in a pathetic mess.

Jimin froze in fear. Felix shook his head. The three guards barged in and grabbed Jimin. He yelled and kicked, apologizing and begging Felix to let him go. He was dragged into the hall, pulled to his room. He continued to beg, his voice cracked and became hoarse. "Please, let me go."

--

Jimin felt a warmth on his cheek. He leaned into it and sighed in content. His body was heavy and exhausted, but he felt warm and safe. "Jimin-ah, Namjoon's knocked three times already." He heard Yoongi whisper. "I wish you could sleep longer, but you have to wake up now."

Jimin shook his head. "I want to stay with you."

He heard Yoongi sigh. "I wish you could stay too." Jimin snuggled closer to the other boy, burying his face into Yoongi's chest. He felt lips press on the top of his head, lingering for a second. "But you have to go, it's for the best."

Jimin couldn't react the way he should have. He couldn't question why Yoongi suddenly was up for the idea of Jimin going back to the facility. Yoongi had to force himself out of Jimin's arms, forcing himself to get up from the bed and walk over to the other side. He turned Jimin to face him. Yoongi leaned down and brushed his cheek. "Can you sit up for me?"

Jimin, still with his eyes closed, nodded. He took his arm and gently pulled him up, Jimin didn't resist and sat up. Yoongi walked into the washroom and came back with a wet face cloth. "Here you go," He gently titled back Jimin's head, pushed back his hair and gently wiped Jimin's face.

Yoongi grabbed a fresh set of clothes and handed them over to him. "Can you change in the washroom?"

"Mmhmm," Jimin nodded, dragging his body. Two minutes later he walked out and Yoongi was holding his breakfast. He sat down and took the plate from him, eating slowly. A knock came from the door and Yoongi stood up to open the door.

Namjoon walked in. "Good morning, Jimin. Are you ready?"

Jimin nodded and handed the plate back to Yoongi. They walked out of the room and to the front door. Yoongi grabbed Jimin's sweater and helped him put it on, Jimin letting the boy zip it up. Jin had come out of his room and stood beside Namjoon, kissing the purple-haired boy and smiled tiredly at Jimin. "We'll see you later, ok?" Jin hugged the boy. "You'll be okay."

Jimin nodded and slipped on his shoes. He looked back at Yoongi who looked as stiff as a statue, staring down at the floor. Jimin reached for him and Yoongi enveloped him in his arms. Jimin could hear his shaky breath in his ear, the older boy holding him as tightly as he could. Yoongi quickly kissed his cheek before letting him go and watch the younger boy leave with his leader.
