━━━★ MALLORY THOMPSON WAS BROKEN LONG BEFORE THE WORLD ENDED. She had landed herself a place within a school designed for those who were deemed a threat to society, and the school had been her home for almost nine years. She wasn't alone though as she had her twin brother and best friend alongside her the whole way. But still, opening up and allowing herself not to be consumed by her anger was not an easy route to take, and so she often slipped into the shadows until she burst at the seams.
And when an unexpected turn of events reveals things about her past, she struggles to hold on and not completely lose herself. She starts to learn that maybe seeking comfort in those she's close to isn't so bad, but for someone so young she has a lot to work through. And she'll have to break completely before she's ever able to recover and move on from her past.
Her best friend, Louis, has never left her side. He's there for her when everything she believed in is ripped apart as more and more truths are revealed. And his charming and humorous ways are exactly what she needs to break free from her pain that holds her hostage. And in the meantime, they discover what it truly means to love someone.
