──── Mallory Thompson

CLEMENTINE AWOKE GROGGILY AND RUBBED AT HER ACHING HEAD. Her vision was blurry at first, but after a few lingering seconds the fog started to clear and she began to glance around the room she found herself trapped in. Remembering why she was here in the first place, she adverted her attention to the farthest wall, Louis and Mallory remaining where she had seen them last. She couldn't help but wonder just how long she had been unconscious, but it truly didn't feel long.

She moved so that she was sitting on her knees and gave Louis a look of concern. It looked like Mallory was drifting in and out of consciousness and that didn't mean anything good. As Clementine moved around, the injured girl had allowed her eyes to open for a brief moment, lingering on her form before she closed them again.

"What happened?" She questioned. Louis frowned and glanced down at Mallory.

"Too much. They fucked up Mallory real bad," Louis explained. "They cut her hand off because she wanted to protect me."

Clementine's eyes fell as she glanced at Mallory once more, now she could clearly her bandaged arm. The job wasn't the best, sloppy in nature, but she bit her tongue as it wasn't wise to bring that up. She would've fixed it, but knew that Mallory would never trust her with the most vulnerable part of her. Clementine could only imagine how much that hurt the girl. Her stomach twisted and anger consumed her when she thought of what the Delta did, especially Lilly. She had never been a pleasant woman, but this was just all kinds of fucked up. Clementine hated her for it. How dare they harm kids as if they didn't have an ounce of humanity left within them? God, they were just kids, forced to grow up way too fast. They didn't deserve this.

"Fuck, I'm so sorry, Mallory," Clementine whispered and if Mallory had heard her, she made no indication.

"Just... Just help us get out of here, okay?" Louis said and Clementine nodded. Determination flashed over her face as she stood to her feet once more.

She headed over towards the door, trying to figure things out. Aasim and Omar appeared as well, their eyes full of concern for everyone. Clementine gave them a saddened look and tried to find AJ and Violet. It wasn't long before both individuals appeared in the cell across from her, and relief filled her when she realized everyone was safe, for the most part.

"At least we're not moving yet," Violet pointed out. "We've still got time to figure this out. How's Mallory?"

"Not good," Clementine admitted. "I don't know how long we really have before her condition gets more serious."
