Hiya you unfortunate people who were expecting some sort of update, this is just a small note.
I saw how popular my story got even though I wasn't actively updating it, and I was glad (or more accurately, shell-shocked jfc) to see that there was lots and lots of good feedback. I feel bad for authors (or people who just write sporadically and don't like to call themselves authors) who have to deal with pushy or forceful readers who demand content.
(The following stuff isn't targeted only towards me, but pretty much all authors deal with this sort of stuff. I just wanted to let it out somewhere and maybe even educate a few people that don't think about this.)
I shouldn't have to make excuses about why I haven't updated. I'd call it more of an explanation than an excuse if I really thought it was needed. Ofc, like any other person, I have a life to live.
It may not be as eventful or uneventful as somebody else's, but every person handles their lives differently and that should be accepted and understood by everybody. I'm lucky to have very sweet readers (especially you who's taken the time to read this, lub u bb <3) who haven't made rude remarks about a chapter being very late, or were just rude in general. I have had few encounters with pushy people or people self advertising their own stories in my comment sections but nothing too over the top. Yes, I get comments about how I should update, but they're encouraging and tend to be full of positive vibes more than negative. What I learned from reading them is that people enjoyed what I wrote, and are hoping that I continue it. Negative ones have the same message, but its the deliverance that changes things.
For example:
"Hey, do you have a pencil I can borrow?"
v.s.
"Give me a fucking pencil."
Idk about u guys but I prefer the first one.
Jeez, what a ramble. Moral of the story, Authors are people with lives of their own, be kind. You don't know what they may be going through. (and istg if you actually ask demand for pencils like that, plz calm down - Pencils are calm peaceful creatures.)
oke anyways here's the chapter that i said was, quote, "this is just a small note."
enjoy :))
(i wouldn't really call it |19|, you could maybe call it an intro to 19? It isn't long enough (lolthat'swhatshesaid) to be a legit chapter :/. It's sorta just a reminder that im actually alive and should be writing again.))

Y/N walked to the kitchen instead of hanging out in the hallway any longer, and looked around in the cabinets for something tasty to drink.
Why am I messing with him like this? It's only making things more difficult for me.
Now that I think of it, it's kinda fun.. He's entertaining when he's angry.
...Am I some sort of sadist? Jeez, Y/N.
Y/N shook her head at herself and reached to open one of the many cabinets. So far, she didn't find what she was looking for. Coffee, or tea. Preferably some hot tea at this time of night, it was around eleven pm. It would certainly be soothing.
She pulled open one of the cabinets and scanned it, cereal. Only breakfast food. She closed it.
