When life turns to be unfair
C h a p t e r 51: Forgotten Memories.
There are some secrets that we bury deep where no living can reach. There are some happy memories that can exist in the worst moments of our lives, even if they saved us from drowning in sorry, when the bad is over, we sometimes force ourselves to throw the good too because it'll always be chained to the ugly horrific pain.
When her mother told her they'll have to go to the hospital for an emergency, everything came to her mind, except what she had forgotten.
Zack was too tired of getting taken back by the secrets he doesn't know about.
They all had to go there. Valencia went upstairs and took Raymond between her arms. He was too sleepy to wake up so he just crawled into her arms, asleep.
She kissed his forehead and went down.
Everyone was waiting for her downstairs. Lilli's heart warmed up as she saw the cute baby Valencia was holding.
Everyone trusted Thomas enough to not question him and Lilli was mostly thinking about Dylan.
The car was speeding in the highway and everyone was silent.
There was two police cars parked next to the hospital and they just nodded as they saw Valencia's mom. As they parked their car, they went in rushing.
It was a mess inside of the hospital. Nurses going in and out of the waiting room, families grouped everywhere, crying, shaking, waiting...
It sent chills in Valencia's body and she found it hard to keep her balance for a second.
What in the hell happened?
Thomas came rushing in.
"The assholes tried to run through the front door to deal damage to whoever was there before they get arrested or get killed. He was in their shooting range so they hit him. They tried to shoot Dylan too, but he pushed him and got the hit instead. Now he's a critical state. He's now sleeping in room forty two. Doctors say he needs to wake up in less than twenty four hours or he'll most likely die. There are tests and things that needs to be given to him when he's conscious." He turned to Zack for a brief moment. "Zack, I'll explain everything to you." He looked at Valencia and noticed she was holding her baby. "Hi big boy... good thing you brought him... can you go alone? It may be the last time the three of you will be in the same room... it's time you remember."
"Who is the one injured? How can I go without knowing who?" she was panicking, anxiety growling inside of her.
He was silent for a moment trying to compose his words.
"It's... um... Ethan, Ethan, Zack's friend."
It was as if someone squeezed her heart and she didn't even know why. She looked at Thomas' face to find any clue, but his painful expression was all she got.
She started walking away, her feet walking without her conscious.
How is Ethan involved in this? Why do I feel so fucked up right now? Why do I have to be the only one who goes and sees him?
She noticed she was standing in front of the door for a straight minute.
She got in, not able to look up, not wanting to see what's in front of her.
