C h a p t e r 7: A cellular

Before, Valencia hated violence. She was a brave girl who stands up for weak people.

Seven years ago, she was walking in her school's hall with Declan and another friend when she saw a boy who's making fun of a fat girl. He was calling her names and the girl didn't do anything except looking down with tearful eyes. She was already on the floor with her books everywhere.

Valencia advanced toward them and spoke calmly "Are you that desperate? Making fun of girls just to show off?"

The boy turned to face her, he looked up and down and started laughing, "And who are you? You better back off"

"Oh really? You lack confidence... you try to tear people down so you can feel high, but you forgot that you'll always be down yourself... You feel incomplete, so you try to make people feel the same. You're judging her, but you forgot to look at yourself in the mirror when you wake up, otherwise you'd know that others can be judging you too, but they're nice enough not to point out your imperfections in your face in such a cruel way. You're not a man, you're just a spoiled child who needs to grow up."

"Wow... what an interesting speech." He lifted his hand to punch her when someone grabbed it.

"Don't even think about it..." pronounced Declan between his teeth.

"Okay, I actually tried to be respectful. Listen to me, you jerk, tell her anything else and you'll regret your existence. Go fix yourself instead of breaking others. I'm not Barbie here, okay? And no girl needs to be a Barbie for you or anyone else. If she's comfortable the way she is, who the fuck are you to make her feel small. I mean no one is judging you for the Spiderman under wear that's showing off right now, "continued Valencia with the same calm tone.

The boy looked at her before whispering a 'whatever, you'll regret this' and go away.

Valencia walked to the girl and helped her get up. She felt so happy to be able to help her.

The story didn't end up well, Valencia got bullied by the boy and his friends every day in school ever since, and Zack got really mad and ended up putting the boy in the hospital after picking up a fight with him for revenge.

She didn't care about what happened to her, all that concerned her was the boy in the hospital. Even if he was nothing but mean to her and the other girl, for her since he bullied her, he understood what she said to him and he didn't like it, but she knew her words will haunt him.

Valencia was walking back home after passing the whole day with Declan and his friends. She finally can quit the acting. It was hard for her to try being nice, even though they didn't deserve anything else, they were nice to her.

She stood in front of her home's door before opening it. She walked to the living room, but immediately stopped when she found her brother with three other boys. She wasn't expecting company, but her brother already told her before they may be at home frequently.
