Both Isra and Qetesh watch as Atem, Seto and Marik bounce an attack off of one another Seto was the only one who hadn't risen.... until Joey drew then attacked him with a monster of his own.... first Atem then Seto then Marik rose to the top of the tower which was both good and bad good for their opponents bad for them.... depending on how they looked at the duel overall.... Qetesh was able to calm down to the point where the duel was almost enjoyable since Seto stopped attacking mercilessly with his words.... unless he was using a monster, trap or magic card on his opponent when it was his turn.... it didn't help that Isra and Qetesh's bodies were still in a slightly weakened state since they woke up as two instead of one.... which they're still getting used to since they can still sense one another.... their physical duel in the virtual world AND the fact that they "stole" Noah from the world in which he "belonged".... not to mention that they could still feel everything that happened to each monster on the field.... they were grateful that Kuriboh, Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, Blue Eyes White Dragon and the Egyptian God cards weren't in play as of yet for they were connected to them in a much deeper level than all the others and if anything were to happen to them they had no idea how their bodies would handle it..... it became a little strange when Joey stopped Atem from attacking Marik "listen to me please Yuge you're making a mistake and I can't let you go through with dis! you're attacking the wrong duelist Yuge! you shouldn't be attackin Marik.... you should be attackin me! trust me Yuge"  Joey says "hey Joey! I think the pressures getting to ya! just let Yugi make his move!"  they hear Tristen shout "just stay out of it Tristen this is something that I hafta do!"  Joey replies then he turns to Atem and says "Yugi.... I know you're just lookin out for me pal but you can't keep protectin me for da rest of my life! I'll neva learn to improve my duelin skills if you keep goin easy on me!"  Atem looks at Isra and sees a look of pride on her face as she smiles and Joey continues "think about it! da reason I came dis far is cause I faced da toughest opponents of my life in Battle City they dueled me wit everything they had! and I defeated dem all on my own I've come a really long way since da Battle City Tournament began if I do say so myself!"  Isra teasingly mutters under her breath "there's that "manly ego" stroke I've been waiting for!"  Atem lets out a short soft chuckle as Joey continues "if you really wanna help me then treat me just like you would any other opponent! this is a four way duel and it's everyone for themselves I don't want any special treatment!"  Qetesh pretends to wipe a tear from her eye with her finger as she teases with fake tears in her tone and a playful "proud momma" voice "our li'l duelist is all grown up!"  Seto chuckles "let's go! it's time to move onward! I believe it's your move pharaoh!"  Marik says impatiently "he's right Yuge you're in the middle of an attack so pick your target and remember if you really believe in me then you'll stop babysitting me and start treating me like your equal!"  Joey says Atem feels Isra lovingly place her hand over his he looks into her eyes as she whispers softly "have faith my heart!"  he still seems unsure of what to do so Joey tries again "Yugi if you hold back I'll know you don't think I can take it! I'm asking you as my best friend attack me! I have no monsters to defend myself so your smartest move is to attack me"  Atem asks "but what if you lose?"  Joey replies "dat may not be so bad remember this duel only determines who faces who in the semifinals and I need to face a certain someone to keep a promise I made to you and Mai!"  with the loving support of the woman he loves and the lesson from his best friend Atem nods "see.... I told you!"  Isra teases at first Atem looked confused then he chuckles and coos as he slides his finger down her cheek to her chin "that you did!"  he kisses her forehead then nods at Joey and says "I understand Joey and I believe in you"  Joey nods and Atem has his monster attack Joey which raises his (Joey) podium so that he is now right next to Marik "I'm in last place and I'm takin you down with me pal! I'll see you up there!"  Joey tells Marik who lets out a short chuckle and growl as Joey's podium rises even higher....
