Taehyung"I didn't really want to do anything honestly." Jimin says looking up at me over his glasses that rest low on the bridge of his nose.
One of the things I loved was seeing him wearing his oversized glasses. He always hated them and resorted to contacts unless he was lazy or not feeling well.
"It's your birthday. We have to do something." I tell him, sitting down across from him at the kitchen table.
"I mean, we don't really have to do anything. I don't like attention on my birthday." He says looking down and continuing to write in the journal he always writes in.
"I understand that but our families want you to, Sugar." I say watching his cheeks flush at the pet name. "We'll rent some place out and invite a bunch of people. You can stay long enough to thank everyone for coming then leave if you want."
He huffs running his fingers through his hair before capping his pen. "Fine. Invite whoever you want."
"Your party, you invite whoever you want." I say turning my laptop to him.
"You know more people than I do," He says turning it back. "do it for me, please?"
"Fine. But you're making the announcements." I say making him roll his eyes.
"Fair enough." He says taking his glasses off and standing. "I'm gonna go get my laptop."
"Mhm." I hum as I start to type the guest list out.
He returns a few minutes later holding his laptop. "Did you talk to your parents today?"
I look up at him, surprised by the sudden question. "No, why do you ask."
"Remember how I had gone to meet Taemin's partner?" He stars sitting down.
"Yeah you told me." I nod, I couldn't stand the Taemin guy and he always seemed like he was trying to take Jimin away from me in a way.
"Well my mother told me that your mother was going to tell you about it even though you already knew. I was just wondering if she had." He says focusing on his computer screen.
"Oh, well no. She didn't." I say, she did but I didn't want to think about that conversation I had with my mother earlier.
He nods without questioning me further about the situation.
"How's work been?" I ask trying to fill the silence.
"Fine. Nothing new." He says. "What about you? I know you had a lot of traveling to do next week."
"Yeah, I might put off some of those meetings." I say trying to ignore the guilt rushing through me.
"Why?" He asks pouting a little. "If you push it back then everything's just going to pile up and you'll be away more."
"I just...what if instead of throwing a party we go somewhere, just the two of us?" I ask even though I know both our parents would be beyond pissed.
Jimin looks up at me with a small smile. "You'd do that? With me?"
"Of course. Why wouldn't I?" I ask feeling bad that he has to ask.
"I don't know." He says looking down.
"So?" I ask reaching out for his hand. "Where do you want to go?"
He places his hand in mine with a sad smile, it doesn't meet his eyes so I know he's thinking about something.
"It would be nice but, my mother told me to throw a party so, I have to." He says.
I nod, his mother was always telling him what to do. "This time, why don't you do what makes you happy and let me take care of your mother?"
He smiles a little brighter, the kind of smile that makes his eyes squint. "It's okay Tae. The party's fine."
I nod. "As long as it's okay with you."
He nods refocusing on his computer.

Jungkook
"What's wrong with you?" I ask Hoseok who sits across from me being unusually quiet.
He shakes his head and takes a sip of his drink.
I sigh resting my elbow on the counter. "Why are you acting like this?"
"Like what? I'm not acting like anything." He says. "Its just..."
"Just what?" I push, he's been acting weird and I know exactly why.
"You were with Jimin's fiancé~"
"Taehyung."
"You were with Taehyung," he corrects. "When you were with me?"
"I thought we both agreed that what we do together meant nothing." I say.
"Yeah, I understand that. But still, isn't that kind of messed up if Taehyung thought you were only with him?" Hobi asks.
"He fucks Jimin, what's wrong with us fucking?" I ask with a shrug.
Hoseok frowns. "You're so cold Jungkook."
I shrug again. "It doesn't matter. I don't want to talk about Taehyung."
"Why? What happened?" He asks.
"Nothing." I say picking up my glass and standing. "I thought you worked today."
"I did, but I took off because Yoongi was off, so I figured we could do something together." He says with a deep frown.
"What happened to that?" I ask refilling my glass.
"Jimin called." He says with venom behind his words. "He said he had to come by for something and they ended up making plans to hang out today at the apartment. That's why I came here."
"Sucks for you." I say leaning against the counter.
Hoseok rolls his eyes in annoyance. "I hate that little bastard."
I chuckle. "Yeah. I kinda feel bad for him though."
"Why? It's his fault, he needs to just stay away from Yoongi."
I hum in thought. "Things would be so much better if he was out of the picture."
"Damn right they would be." Hoseok agrees.
"How could we get him out of the picture?" I ask, if Jimin would go away all our problems would go with him.
"Oh shut up, Jeon. You know we can't get rid of him." He says. "As long as he's connected to Taehyung he will be in your life."
"I already told you, as soon as he can he's leaving Jimin. So he'll be out of my life then." I say sipping my drink.
"You really believe he will?" Hoseok asks.
I nod. "Yeah, I know he will."
Even though I knew deep down inside there was a possibility that Taehyung would never go through with the promise I still have hope.
I have hope that he does love me and that he will come to me.
Love overruled everything, right?
If so, is it possible that Taehyung loves me more than Jimin?
