JiminI roll my eyes for the umpteenth time as my mother goes on and on to me about the people I absolutely must invite to my birthday party next week.
I don't really care who shows up because I won't be there long enough to even greet a quarter of the people on the list.
"You'll have invite Mr. Kang and his family of course, and the Choi's." Mother continues to add names to the list.
"Are you sure the venue's large enough? Should we just go ahead and rent out an entire city?" I ask sarcastically.
"Watch your tone." She scolds without sparing me a glance.
I sigh crossing one leg over the other and looking out the window. "When are you going to be finished?"
"I'm just about done, when did you become so impatient? That fiancé of yours is rubbing off on you quite a bit." Mother chuckles softly.
I roll my eyes again at that, how can someone who's never around rub off on me?
"Alright. There, if I think of anymore important people I'll call you." She says. "I emailed the list, don't forget to make the invites."
"I won't, Mother." I say grabbing my laptop bag and throwing it over my shoulder. "I'm going to say goodbye to Taehyung and then I'll be on my way."
"Okay, take care Son." She says as I stand and head out. "Oh, and Jimin."
"Yes?" I sigh turning to her.
"Don't forget to invite some of your friends as well, okay?" She says.
"Alright, goodnight Mother." I say, bowing a little before going on my way.
I take the elevator up to the floor Taehyung's office is, but when I get there he seemed to had already locked up and left.
"Mr. Park, are you looking for Mr. Kim?" Secretary Jeon walks up, all ready to leave as well.
"I was, he never leaves this early." I say checking my watch.
"Yeah, you just missed him." Jeon says with a small smile.
"Well, I guess I'll just go then." I say chuckling a little. "Are you going down too? We can go down together."
"Oh, sure." He says with a airy laugh before leading the way to the elevators.
"You know, Jungkook. You've changed so much since we were in college." I say as he presses the call button to the elevator. "For the best of course."
"You have too." He says nodding as the doors open and we step in.
"Back when we were in college I thought you hated me." I say laughing at how sensitive I used to be.
"Hate you? I could never." He says shaking his head. "Why would you think that?"
"I don't know, you and Taehyung were close and I felt like you didn't like having me around." I say with a shrug. "I was just being sensitive, don't worry. I know you don't hate me."
"Yeah, I didn't hate you then either." He says with a smile before the elevator stops on the bottom floor a few moments later.
"Nice speaking with you, have a good night." I say stepping off first.
"You as well." Jungkook bows respectfully before we both go our separate ways.
