I arrived at papa's house and strolled inside.

"Anyone ever teaches you to knock?"  Papa asked me.

"Have you met my parents?"  I reminded him.

"Don't remind me. One I raised and the other I wanted to toss into the river for being a dipwad," Papa rolled his eyes.

"My point exactly," I told him as I took a seat next to him. I looked at the tv, "are you binge-watching The Originals?"

"Hey, I need to find out if Klaus is going to survive or not. Did you know Hailey ran off with him leaving poor Elijah with a broken heart?"  He said as I stared at him.

"You're very odd," I replied to him.

"Eh, we all got to be something," he shrugged.

I just shook my head. My grandfather has some weird affinity for tv shows.

"So, I know you didn't come over here because you enjoy visiting.  Who are you hiding from?"  He asked me.

"I'm not hiding," I lied.

"Liar, I know you. You have your parents genes. Trust me; those two couldn't get their shit together.  Why should you and your brother be any different?"  He asked with that knowing look.

Then the front door flies open and Cooper slams it shut, leaning with his back against it. We both looked at him strangely.

"If mom and dad ask, you never saw me," he said as we sat there wondering what the hell my dumbass brother did this time.

"Cooper! I know you're in there! I can hear you plotting and planning," Dad yelled as papa rolled his eyes.

Copper took off as the door opened and in walked my parents.

"Dare I ask why you two are hunting my grandson down?" Papa asked them.

They walked over, and dad answered, "because he proceeded to cherry bomb a toilet at school."

"That's new. At least Coop isn't hiding like this liar right here," he gestured at me as I gave him an unamused look.

"I'm going to get a snack," I mentioned as I got up and went into the kitchen.  Nana always had goodies to eat.

Papa rolled his eyes as my parents sat down.

"So, any idea why my granddaughter is oblivious to the fact Brandon is in love with her?"  He asked them.

"I blame her," dad pointed at mom.

"And I blame you, Mr. Indecisive," mom retorted.

"Well, I blame you both, especially since I got a boatload of tee shirts that no one wants," he grumbled.

They both gave him a look as he shrugged.

"They need to get it together. I got fifty bucks riding on this," dad remarked as papa arched an eyebrow at him.

"You're betting on your kid?"

"Well, yeah," dad answered.

"Too bad you're going to lose that bet," he remarked as dad gave him a look.  "Don't give me that look. You got your dad's dipwad genes. Which means my granddaughter got a quarter of dipwad genes.  I was hoping it would pass her by but hope springs eternal," he smirked.

"Caleb said they wouldn't get together until Christmas. I said homecoming," dad reasoned.

"Why, because you were so astute?  Let's not forget, my daughter went with your brother who is gay. I gave him fifty bucks to make sure he didn't screw it up.  Then you still walked away after my pride and joy ran after your dumbass," papa reminded him.

Dad didn't know what to say. Who can argue with that logic?  No one. Trust me, we all tried.

At one point I shoved Cooper out to face the firing squad and also the fact if I didn't, he would eat all the damn pie.

"You're a dink Andi," he yelled at me.

"Well, you're a dipwad. No one told you to blow up a toilet you boob!" I yelled back.

"Yep, my family is a bunch of asinine fools," papa commented as he nodded. My parents just looked at him then turned their attention into Copper who strolled casually into the living room.

"Hey rents," he greeted them.

"You're grounded," they both told him.

"Okay, but then I guess trying to help get my clueless sister together with Brandon is our of the question," he shrugged. My parents looked at him and were about to cave when papa stepped in.

"You're going to help and stay grounded. Don't be a dink and try to strong-arm two inept people.  We all know you have a thing for this putz, Cody, who has a thing for Marta who doesn't swing that way," he mentioned as Cooper rolled his eyes.

"Thanks for outing me gramps," he mumbled.

"Oh relax, Coop, we already know," dad told him as Cooper frowned at him.

"Casey has a big mouth, and Gavin has a bigger mouth," mom reminded him.

"Of course, he does," Cooper groaned.

"You people suck at keeping secrets; you know that," papa reminded them.  That was true. My parents and family could not keep a secret to save their lives.  I remember one time, I found out my mom was pregnant with me when she and dad got married.  Let's say; they can never tell me to wait until I'm married to have sex.

The way I'm going, I doubt that will ever happen. Considering Cody has a crush on someone whose gay. I can pick them.  The way I was going, I'm pretty sure I'm going to die alone with a bunch of plants and cats.

My luck the plants will die, and the cats will leave me. That thought depressed me.  Anyway, my grandfather, parents, and sneaky little brother conspired against me. They got to love family. The family that conspires together stays together.

I had a feeling things were going to get interesting.
