I showed up at papa's house and explained to him what was going on. He agreed to help me even if it meant interrupting one of his shows. That is why they make DVRs. He can always watch it later.

We went to the police station.

"Dad? Why are you here?" Mom asked him.

"Because if I leave it to you dipwads to handle things, Brandon will never get out of the slammer," he replied as I stood there while my parents rolled their eyes.

He looked at Brila, shook his head then at her dad, and shook his head some more.

"We got this Mack," he told Papa.

"I don't think so," he replied as I stood there.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Martin asked him.

"That means if all of you believed him, he would be stuck here. Where's the damn cops?" He asked as they took him to a police officer. I hope papa can fix this.

I stood at the front desk as a cop went to get another cop. After everyone explained everything to me, which was a lot, I figured out they were all dinks. A guy walked up in a button-down shirt and slacks, introducing himself as the lead detective on the case.

"Do you mind if we speak privately?" I asked him.

"Will I regret this?" He asked.

"Depends if you are willing to listen," I replied as I smiled. The officer gave me a look, and we stepped off to the side, away from rabbit ears.

"Okay, go ahead," he told me.

"Let's see; you arrested some yutz because some girl claims he sexually assaulted her. My guess is she falsely accused him of whatever reason, and you believed her," I mentioned.

"Mack, we have to take these accusations seriously," he told me.

"Oh, I don't doubt this did happen, but I doubt it happened with Brandon Miller, considering the dink has never dated until my granddaughter," I told him.

"Huh?"

"He's been pining for her since they were in diapers. She's oblivious like her mother. Neither one can get their shit together like her parents. Think about it," I said, giving him a look.

The detective looked at them, then recognized my kid along with Brandon's parents and Andy Pandy.

"Are those the same people that confessed to a crime they didn't commit?" He asked me.

"The same ones," I answered as he remembered that fateful day, the kids confessed to killing that sob who maltreated Bella.

"Why does this not surprise me?" He asked with a look as I shrugged. "The kid is in the interrogation room, drooling on the table. His dad says he's been sick and took medication," he told me.

"That doesn't surprise me. Have you met Brandon's parents?" I asked him with a look as he looked at Brila. He turned back to me. "Look, we both know this girl accused the wrong person. Either she's afraid to accuse the right person or has some weird vendetta with Brandon. That boy has been in love with my oblivious granddaughter forever."

The detective looked at me. The problem with people is they will blame an innocent person for a crime they didn't commit. Then you have my circus who take a rap for something no one did, thinking they are helpful. I blame their parents.

He rubbed his chin as he thought about it, then I heard yelling. We turned to see Andi arguing with a girl. Why do I have a feeling this is the girl that accused Brandon of a crime he didn't commit.

We walked over, and the parents separated them.

"You're lying!" Andi yelled at her.

"He did it! You're just mad because you know that's the truth," she spat. Then all hell broke loose. A damn fight broke out in the middle of the police station. I placed my face in my palm as they all fought.

Then someone whistled, making everyone stop. That should be good.

Casey

Everyone looked at me as I stood there with my dads.

"Thanks, Casey," Gavin said while rolling his eyes.

"No worries," I replied as I smirked. They shook their heads. We walked over as Andi and Crystal started arguing again. "Ladies, well, one lady and one banshee," I said as they both looked at me as did everyone else. "Anyway, Crystal blamed the wrong guy."

"I did not!" She screeched.

I cleared out my ear with my finger. "Thanks for blowing out my eardrum, you dink, and yes, you did. You wanted to date Brandon. He said no, and here we are. Either you're lying about the sexual assault thing, which is bad on your part or it did happen, and you refuse to name Keith."

Everyone did a double-take as her face changed to shock.

"Yeah, I thought so." I rolled my eyes. Blame my best friend, and the gloves come off.

"I guess I'll release the kid," the detective said as he walked away. Crystal has a lot of explaining to do, and a lot of people were pissed. The one thing is you don't accuse someone of something that serious without having proof. She didn't realize that she almost destroyed Brandon's future. Twit.

I was shaken and woke up. Dad was babbling about something, but I was too sick to understand what he was talking about in the room. I stood up and left the room. We came out to see a bunch of people standing there.

I didn't say anything to anyone. I just wanted to go home and go to bed. I felt like hell. I left with my parents, and they took me back. On the way home, I checked my phone to see several missed calls and text messages. I'll deal with that later. Right now, I just wanted to sleep.

We got home, and I went straight to bed. I had a feeling when I felt better; I was going to be in for one hell of a surprise.

A/N: Accusing someone of sexual assault is a severe offense. I've seen it happened and the person's life was almost ruined by it. While most are legitimate, some aren't. Be careful when it comes to this. Ruining an innocent person's life isn't right. Always report consistent sexual assaults. You may help someone else in the process.

Thank you.
