Extermination (Mafia)

Chapter 4

"Everything will go back to normal soon, right?"

Pauline stared at Dixie who was fiddling her thumbs nervously. The whole kong family plus Pauline was gathered in one of the many living rooms of the late Princess Peach's castle.

"Yes, of course," Pauline nodded, crossing her arms. "Nothing else is going to happen. Princess Peach is dead, there's not much people can do anymore. Unless they want to kill Daisy, which is pretty much being taken care of already."

"I-I guess, but I'm scared-"

"Don't worry, Dixie," Diddy placed an arm around the smaller monkey. "Everything's going to be okay now. I promise you."

"Yes," Donkey Kong rumbled. "We're all going to take care of each other so nothing like that ever happens again. Okay?"

"Okay. Everything's going to be okay."

"I cannot believe the audacity of Daisy," Luigi mumbled under his breath, shaking his head in disdain. "I thought... I thought she was better than that."

"Yeah, we all did," Mario muttered, evidently hearing his brother. He looked at Rosalina, who was staring longingly out the window. "Rosalina, it's okay. We're all alive. The damage was reversed."

"I didn't... I didn't think anyone would try to kill me..." Rosalina said softly, turning her attention back to the Mario brothers. Toad and Toadette nodded sympathetically as Rosalina continued to speak sadly. "All I did was take care... of my Lumas at the observatory... I don't want Daisy to hate me.. I just want to go back home, where I don't have to worry about human interaction.."

"Don't worry," Toadette chimed in. "I know Daisy was cruel to you... but we will never hurt you. I just hope you know that..."

"Yeah, for real," Birdo scoffed. "I can't believe I thought she was cool. Evidently not..."

"Be nice," Yoshi scolded lightly. "We'll be here for you, Rosalina."

"Although, I don't wish to lie to you," Toad sighed. "Daisy will probably be freed because she is a princess. With luck, her head will clear up. I think the stress has gotten to her head and her jealousy provided her with a motive. Whenever you come down to Earth again, we will make sure you're never alone with Daisy again."

"Th-thank you..." While Rosalina had witnessed the evil sides to mankind after the mafia had infiltrated their ranks, she was surprised to find that humankind had a compassionate side. She had never stayed on Earth for long, as she had went into space at a young age in search of her mother. While she'd never found her mother, she was glad she had gone in order to take care of her Lumas... and become a mother to them. "I truly appreciate this... and I hope that Daisy is alright as well."

"It's not a problem," Luigi said earnestly, and everyone else nodded. "We all are here for you."

"Of course."

"So what exactly are we going to do now?" Bowser plopped down on one of Peach's fancy chairs, annoyed and distraught that the princess ceased to live. "She was going to be my wife, whether she liked it or not. But now she's dead..."

"Bowser," King Boo shook his head. "This is the perfect time to overthrow the Mushroom Kingdom if we planned on it. Sure, we made that Alliance, but I'm just letting you know. The kingdom is in shambles."

"...I think we could actually benefit from an alliance with them," Bowser sighed, annoyed at his own words. However, a peace treaty did make sense. With Peach's death, what else was he supposed to do? He had the Koopa Kingdom to rule over and his attempt to rule the galaxy hadn't worked either. Perhaps he could attempt to be content with what he had for once. "

"Alright," Boo shrugged, not showing whether he was disappointed with the decision or excited. "I'll respect that. Then I'll tell the rest of my subjects to cease the attacks on Sarasaland."

"You were attacking Sarasaland?"

"Eh, why not?" Boo snickered. "I'll be right back, then. Goodbye, Bowser."

After hearing of the plan to exterminate the remaining citizens, Saiko's doubt had been replaced and she finally began to accept the new Mafia. In their underground lair, Saiko and the three mafia were playing cards in order to pass the time.

"Yes! Saiko won!" Saiko cheered, standing and dancing slightly. The new mafia raised their brows, surprised that Saiko wasn't stoic and skeptical, while Kaira watched in amusement. "Saiko beat the two newbies!"

"I'm sorry, did you get...possessed recently?" One of the new mafia asked in genuine concern.

"Saiko just comes off as harsh in the beginning," Kaira drawled, sipping from a wine glass. "I tried to get her to be nicer. Seems she's warmed up."

"Well, we're going to kill them!" Saiko exclaimed, her eyes shining. "Kill, kill, kill...Saiko's so excited, she can hardly wait!"

"Saiko won't be killing anything," Kaira shot a glare at the blue haired female. "Not them, anyways. We'll be taking care of Sarasaland, the Koopa Kingdom, and the Kong Jungle while you three execute the plan."

"Perfect. We'll strike tonight."

hey everyone! hope you enjoyed this chapter. i was in a kinda bad mood so... i wrote lol. writing this took me about 30 minutes which was pretty fast!
