Kaycee
4 hours later

"Kayc, can you do this?" Julian asked nervously. "Are you sure you want to go through with this?"
I groaned, balling up the bedsheets of the cot in my hands. "I can't lose her, Jules. Not again."
It had been a blur and a half, these past four hours. Apparently I was dehydrated and Abby was having none of that, so she tried to come, but my body didn't have enough nourishment or strength to bring her, so it had a meltdown instead. Once I got on some IV fluids it was better, but the pain was excruciating. "Shit," I cursed, as another wave hit me. "Is Sean gonna be here soon?" My mom and Kylie shared a look.
"He was boarding an hour ago," my mother informed me. "His flight is 10 hours, baby. You know that."
"9 MORE HOURS?" I screeched. Kylie squeezed my hand. "Just breathe, Kayc."
"I can't just breathe," I moaned, yanking on my sister's wrist. "This hurts like a bitch."
"Can't you do something?" my mom pleaded with the doctors as they checked my vitals. "Hasn't labor been induced? Shouldn't the baby be coming?"
"Labor has been induced, yes," the doctor said. "But she's not dilated enough yet and she doesn't have enough fluid in her yet. As soon as she does, we need to move fast."
"Then put this goddamn thing on hyperdrive," I spat, smacking the IV bag. "I'm not here for giggles." Another contraction hit and I yelped. My mother looked at him expectantly. "Sir, is there anything more you can do?"
"I'm afraid not," he said, taking my temperature. I groaned. "Vitals look good." My mom exhaled, relieved. I'm pretty sure half of L.A. did too. "But let's get her calm, that's the only thing that could make this go by a little faster." He motioned my mom to the remote. She turned on the TV, and the news channel flicked on.
Dancing superstar Kaycee Rice was spotted at a local LA hospital, practically unconscious! Inside sources say she's heading towards labor, but there were some complications, the voiceover warbled as some fuzzy footage caught me stumbling towards the stretcher, my friends behind me. Oh boy.
The only question we have now is where's her man? A little over an hour ago, some footage caught Sean Lew in a Tokyo airport, dropping 2000 dollars cash on a plane ticket. Was it to see his girl? And why were they separated in the first place? Answers to your questions coming up, on LA News.
"Oh my God," I said faintly. "That's supposed to calm me down?"
"Kaycee, Kaycee," my mom said, hurriedly turning it off and sitting down next to me. "You're gonna be fine, baby. You're so strong, honey." She took my hands and squeezed them. "You're amazing, baby girl. You are the strongest person I know. I gave birth to 3 kids, right?" I nodded. A tear streaked down her cheek and glistened under the bright hospital light. "And I know," she said, shaking my hands as she covered them with hers protectively. "I know-" her voice broke as she looked up for strength, "I know I'm not as strong as you are, so you got this, baby. You can't give up on yourself, because she needs you now. That's what being a mama is all about."
Tears came to my eyes. "I'm scared, Mama." For a minute, I was back in my room, asking her to lay with me because I was scared of the thunders that rumbled Simi Valley in the night. I was 13, sobbing in her arms when I saw Sean's pictures with other girls while I was in Paris. I was 8, crying because I'd messed up getting filmed. I was a little girl. "Of what, honey?" she asked, rubbing my back.
