Julian threw the car into park, now sitting across the street from a club that had people pouring into it. "Here we are." He said, unbuckling his seat belt and leaning to look out the passenger window.
In the passenger seat was Emma, dressed in gear and her boots against the dash board. In the back seat sat Cristina, Mark and (Y/N), all crammed together like sardines. Mark had one of his arm draped over the back of Cristina's seat while she kept one hand on his knee. (Y/N) had never felt like more of a third wheel in her entire life. Thank god for Julian in the front seat.
Julian, the boy that (Y/N) had known for just over eight years now. She had slowly started to fall in love with him over the years. (Y/N) had confided in Cristina and Emma about her crush, Emma had told Julian and the rest was history she supposed.
Julian burst into her room, completely out of breath. (Y/N) turned to look at him, scanning his body to see if he was hurt, "Why didn't you tell me?" He asked, his breath uneven and deep.
(Y/N) blinked at him, unsure of what he was speaking of. "What?" She asked, still stunned at how he had burst into her room. They had been friends, for almost a decade now.
Julian sighed, his face softening for a moment. "That you like me, I mean come on (Y/N) we've known each other for how long?" He asked, taking a step towards her, to which she backed up.
"Who told you that?" (Y/N) asked, scolding herself for thinking that telling anyone was a good idea. At the time it had seemed like a good way to get it off her chest.
"Emma." Julian said, his brain still processing the new information. "So it's true?" He asked, nodding and shrugging at the same time.
(Y/N) swallowed, of course Emma had told him they're parabatai. "Yeah it is." She said, shrugging the fact off but in reality she felt her heart lodged in her throat.
"Why didn't you just tell me?" Julian said, his voice softer and less angry this time. Before he sounded mad, like she had lied to him or something, but now he sounded desperate for the truth.
(Y/N) rolled her eyes, "You never gave me any reason to think it would matter to you." She said, turning his back to him casually to hide that pain that was surely rising on her face.
Julian scuffed, before crossing the room and moving so he was right in front of her, "How would you know that if you didn't ask?" He said, body pressed against hers.
(Y/N) smiled, letting Julian run his reach his hand up to tuck a chunk of fallen hair behind her ear. He then leaned in to capture her lips with his.
That had been months ago.
"We should probably glamour up." Emma suggested, pulling her stele from her belt.
Julian shook his head, "We'll have to use the glamour to cover our runes, Mark will still be noticed since he doesn't use them." He pointed out, pulling up his sleeve for Emma to draw on. Cristina leaned across her boyfriend and began drawing the glamour on (Y/N)'s arm. When each pair was done the five of them pilled out of the car.
The girls walked in front of the boys, strutting right past the bouncer and into the club. "Too easy." Emma whispered with a smirk, flipping her platinum blonde hair to the side. Both Cristina and (Y/N) laughed.
The club was full, of Werewolves, Vampires, Seelies and Warlocks alike, there was even unknowing Mundanes mixed in. There was flashing lights all around, illuminating the bar, the dance floor and the DJ.
"This looks like a fun place." Emma joked, her eyes running over the bar and dance floor. There was a fire in her eyes, but then again Emma had always been a wild child.
