I woke up in my bed. It was quiet and cold in my room. The last thing I remember from last night was Parker holding me and drying my tears.
"Hey, it's going to be okay." Paker said as I was falling apart. He wrapped his arms around me. I finally felt safe. I haven't felt that way in months.
"Let's get you home." He stated.
I shook my head in agreement. We walked outside to his car. He gave me his jacket and opened the car door for me. I hopped in and waited for him to enter the car through his side. He opened his door and got in. Parker turned to look at me.
"Leilani, you're perfect. Your dad didn't leave because of you. He didn't. Always remember that." He said in his low voice.
I smiled and leaned in. We kissed. Parker looked down and grabbed my hand. He held it the whole car ride home.
Once Parker pulled into my driveway, I realized my mom wasn't home, and I didn't want to stay home alone. I asked Parker to stay.
"Yeah. Anything." He said.
I smiled and led the way inside. We went back to my room. Both of us were tired. I took the bed, and he slept on the floor.
"Sleep good Leilani." Parker said sleepy.
That's all I remember from last night. When I rolled over to check to see of Parker was still there, he was. He never left me. And for that, I trust him completely.
"Enjoying the view?" Parker laugh.
"There's not much to see." I joked.
Parker laughed back and hopped on my bed. He got under the blanket, cause like I said, it was cold.
I started to think for a bit while Parker dozed off. My mom was gone when I got home, and come to think of it, she never came home this morning. That would explain why it was cold, no one turned the heat on.
I got up and turned the heat on. I looked in my mom's room, and she wasn't there. I started to get a little worried, but not a lot. I decided to get back into bed with Parker and I fell asleep with him holding me.
It lasted about a hour or so. The next thing I knew, someone was banging on the door.
Parker got up and told me to stay in bed. He got to the door and ran back to the bedroom telling me to get up and get dressed.
My mom was in the hospital. She got into an accident. I decided just to throw something on.Parker drove us to the hospital. It was a quiet car ride and I tried not to panic. We got to the hospital and I immediately hopped out of the car. I couldn't help but worry. Why didn't anyone tell me sooner?
We found out the room she was in and I immediately ran to my mothers side. The doctors came in and said it wasn't fatal. She would more than likely live with minor injuries.
I couldn't help but be relieved. Once the doctors left, I ran up to Parker and he held me.
"Everything will be okay. The doctors said so." He whispered as he moved the hair out of my face.
"Don't let go of me. Please. Ever." I pleaded.
"I never will." Parker whispered.
Just then a man walked into the room. I knew it wasn't a doctor. He wasn't dressed to fit the part. He actually looked a little familiar. That's when it hit me.
"Liam."
