"It is my first day of school. I just recently moved from North Dakota. I left all my friends behind. No one can know about my past. I'm leaving everything behind. It will remain in the past. It will remain in North Dakota."
BAM Everything is gone. Everything flashes before me. I can't feel anything. Do I try to move? Do I try to grab my phone? The steering wheel was crushing me. I rolled over. That's when I saw her. Leilani. She wasn't moving. Her fingers was still interlocked with mine. I shivered as I saw her face. She was bruised up really bad. I needed to get help. NOW! Her fingers were cold. I unbuckled my seatbelt and fell onto the windshield of the tipped car. It was crazy. To think of it. One second her and I were perfectly fine. I little shaken up from Justin, but we were fine. Now one little mistake, Leilani wasn't moving. I started to move and as I did, black circles formed around my eyes. If I kept moving like this, I would pass out and who knows how long it would take someone to find us. I reached towards my back pocket and grabbed my phone. It was beyond smashed. I prayed it would work. After trial and error, It finally worked. "911, what's your emergency?" The operator asked me. "Send help. Now. About to pass out. Need help on Donation Road." I said trying to keep everything simple. "What happened?" She asked me trying to stay calm. "Can't talk. Need to save Leilani. Thank you." I said trying to stay conscious. "Please stay on the line." I ignored the lady and put my phone aside. I knew they could track my phone and find me if I stayed on the line, so that's what I did. As my phone was on the side, I crawled my way over to Leilani. There was glass everywhere. I unbuckled Leilani and caught her from hitting her head. There was no movement from her. None at all. Is she hurt? Is she dead? She can't leave me. Not like this. Not ever. I dragged Leilani out of the car. She had a pulse. But barley. We both were on the side of the road. I had no idea what to do. CPR? She's breathing though. I don't want to hurt her. "Leilani. Please. Wake up. I love you so much. I can't. I can't. Not without you." I whispered in her ear as if it made a difference. I wrapped my hand in hers. Perfect fit. Always was. Suddenly, I felt a faint grip. Leilani was trying to send a signal. "Baby. Hold on. The ambulance is almost here. It's okay. I love you so much." I said trying to hold everything together. Leilani's eyes started to twitch. It was like she was trying to wake up, but she couldn't. No matter how hard she tried. I looked down and noticed how messed up I was. Then, I started to hear sirens. The ambulance. Thank God. I layed down besides Leilani without letting go of her hand. "Just hold on. Keep holding on. For me." I whispered in her ear. I didn't know if she could hear me or not, but anything was worth it. As long as Leilani didn't leave me, I didn't care. I kissed her on the forehead and stood up. I started waving my arms as the sirens got closer. They saw me, finally. I layed down, next to Leilani. That's the last thing I remember. Now, I'm in the hospital trying to regroup. I need to see Leilani. No one will tell me anything. It seems to be a sore subject. All I know is where she is placed. And today, I get out of the hospital. It's been two weeks. I'm going to see her. The news was turned on. I saw my jeep. I saw the wreck, and it was all too real. Leilani and I were in that Jeep. Did she make it? Will she make it?

It was all too much for me. I turned off the TV and tried to stand up. I stood up for a second to splash my face in some water. Even walking that was too much for me. I decided to sit back down. I wanted to get out of the hospital today. Not spend another day in here. "
Parker?" A voice said. I opened my eyes and looked up. It was Leilani's mom. "Hey hunny. I don't need you driving home." She said as she sat on my hospital bed. She looked rough. It looked like she got no sleep for days. She had no makeup on and her face was flushed. I looked at her in shock. I wanted to say something about Leilani, but I didn't know if I should. "I can take you to go see Leilani, if you like." She said as she looked at me trying to smile. Beneath the smile, she was broken. She was trying to hold everything in. "How is she?" I asked her trying to be casual. The truth was, I couldn't be casual. It was Leilani. "Parker. She's in a coma. We've been trying to get her out of it, but nothing's working." Leilani's mom whispered as she tried to keep everything in. It was tearing her apart. I saw a tear go down her face. "We've tried everything Parker. No one can wake her up. That's when I thought of you. Maybe you could wake her up. Maybe your voice would wake her up." She said trying to keep everything together. I looked at her. Leilani was in a coma and she wasn't responding to anything, but somehow, her mom thinks she would respond to me. "She has to want to wake up. The doctors said she might think your dead, since she hasn't heard your voice. And she wouldn't want to wake up if you were gone." Leilani's mom said to me. I still looked at her shocked. I couldn't process the information she was giving me. "Parker. She has five days left to respond, or else the doctors want us to say our final goodbyes and they will take her off the machine. All we can do is hope she can survive without it." Leilani's mom whispered trying to keep everything together. "Okay." I whispered. "Let's go." -- To Be Continued:) --
