"Get out." I said to Liam.
"Let me try to explain." Liam pleaded.
"Get out right now or I am calling the cops. Don't test me. I'm tired of being tested lately."
Liam sighs and he leaves after he looks at my mom. Parker comes over to me. He hugs me.
"I know that was hard Leilani. And I'm sorry about everything that has happened to you." Parker said looking down at me.
What worries me most is if Parker will leave when he realizes how broken I really am. Will he hurt me in the process of loving me.
I'm not an easy person to love. My past is so messed up. I haven't been willing to try a relationship with anyone. And I mean anyone, but Parker. He's different. He genuinely cares.
"What are you thinking?" Parker asks.
"You." I respond blankly.
"What about me?" He says with a smile.
"Will you leave me when you realize how broken I really am?" I ask him.
Parker thinks about it for a second. Then he just looks at me.
"I'm not leaving because you have daddy issues. I'm not leaving because you have trust issues. I'm staying because even though you might be slightly cracked, you're still perfect in my eyes. Nothing can change that. No matter how hard you, or anyone tries. It's not going anywhere." Parker said with a smile. I couldn't help but smile back at him.
"You need to start smiling more because man, it sure does look good on you." He said laughing.
"That has to be the most cringest thing you have ever said." I joked.
"Man, if you think that's cringy, you haven't got to know me in depth yet." Parker said with a smile.
I couldn't hold it in anymore. And neither could Parker. We both broke down in laughter, and apparently we woke my mom up.
"Hey sweetie." My mom said. "The doctors said I have to spend one more night in here, then I'm out." She smiled. "But in the meantime, can Parker stay the night with you and drive you to the school in the morning?" She asked looking at Parker.
"Anything for Leilani's mom." Parler said with a smile.
We spent the day with my mom so she didn't feel alone. At one point, Parker left so he could go get some clothes for school tomorrow.
"Leilani, he cares for you. He genuinely does." My mom whispered.
I laughed her comment off. "It must be all these drugs the hospital is feeding you mom. You need some rest."
"You're right on the I need rest part, but looking at him looking at you, he cares. A lot. Don't forget that. Ever." My mom said.
"I won't." I said with a smile.
Parker walked in the room just on time.
"You kids better get home. It's getting late and you have school in the morning." My mom said.
"Okay mom. I love you and I hope you sleep well." I whispered in her ear.
"You too sweetheart." My mom whispered back.
For the first time in awhile, everything was okay. I felt okay.
"We're here." Parker said as he took my hand.
I unlocked the door and we both walked in. It was quiet and I was sleepy.
"Can we just go to bed?" I asked Parker.
"That sounds perfect." He said with a smile.
I hopped on my bed and Parker went to go lay on the floor.
"What are you doing?" I asked him.
"Going to bed." He laughed.
"Come up here." I laughed back.
Parker hopped on my bed and got under the blankets.
"It's more comfortable up here." He joked.
I laughed and he put his arm around my back and I turned so my head played on his chest.
"You know, your life is so messed up, but some how, you u came out perfect." Parker said.
I looked up at him smiling and blushing. We both leaned in and kissed.
My alarm went off and I knew we were going to be late to school. Parker got up and went into the bathroom to change. I hurried up to pick out an outfit."Let's go so we can make it on time." Parker yelled from the bathroom.
The car ride was mostly Parker speeding and praying he wouldn't get caught.
We both got out of the car. Surprisingly, we were early. Everyone was staring at us. It was like we were some unknown species or something.
Parker looked around and noticed that everyone was looking. So, as we were walking, he randomly picked me up and put me over his shoulder.
I couldn't help but laugh and hit Parker in the back playfully. He finally put me down by the front doors.
He looked down at our hands, and grabbed mine. We walked inside the school, holding hands with everyone staring at us.
