Now I knew why this man look familiar. He had a similar jaw structure and similar facial features as Parker. And as soon as Parker said 'dad', that's when I knew.
It was so obvious. And Parker had just talked about not wanting to even see his dad. I looked over at Parker. He looked stunned.
I grabbed his hand. He looked at me. I leaned in to kiss him on the cheek.
"I can wait outside while you guys talk everything out." I said looking at Parker.
"That would be great. Thank you." Parker's dad said to me.
"No. Leilani, you can stay here." Parker said to me.
I squeezed his hand, and he pulled me in closer. Parker was tense. I haven't seen him that tense since the first day of school.
He looked at his dad with no sympathy. His dad must of really hurt him.
"Son. Come on now. Let's not get the girl involved." Parker's dad said.
If I would have randomly saw Parker's dad at a restaurant or something like that, I would mistake him as a caring man, but Parker has made it clear to me that he wasn't. He was stone hearted.
"Actually, you can leave. I would like that much better." Parker said sternly.
I know Parker way to well. He is acting tough now, but it's hurting him to say that. He knows he has to do it, but it's still hurting him.
I rubbed Parker's back. I had nothing else to do and no place in this conversation.
"Fine. So be it." Parker's dad said as he looked at Parker. "Nice meeting you Leilani. My name is Christopher." He said as he smiled at me.
I didn't say anything back. I just watched as he walked out the door.
Once Christopher was no longer in eyesight, Parker started to loosen up. I knew he was still upset about the whole thing.
"Hey baby. It's going to be okay." I told Parker as I hugged him.
He hugged me back and brushed my hair down. "I know. It just kinda sucks he was never cut out to be an actual father." Parker whispered to me.
"You should lay down before your stitches or something breaks open." I said as I looked up at Parker.
He looked down at me and smiled.
"Now, what would I do without you?" Parker said as he took my hand.
I laughed and grabbed his hand back.
It was about time for me to go. I knew my mom wanted me home soon. And sooner than later.
"I gotta go Parker." I told him honestly.
"I get to go home tomorrow. The doctors told me before you woke up." Parker told me.
"Why are you just now telling me this?" I asked Parker.
"I don't know. I just thought you would like to know." He said with a smile as he squeezed my hand.
I smiled back "That's good Parker."
I went to go stand up and Parker took both of my hands. He sat me on his lap so I was facing him.
"Hey." He said seriously.
I didn't know if Parker was trying to be serious or act serious. He looked up at me.
"I want you to move in with me." Parker said.
This time I knew he wasnt joking.
"We're only 17 Parker." I said to him honestly.
If I was being honest with myself, I would love to move in with Parker. I just don't know if my mom would love the idea of it.
"Technically, you're 17. I'm 18." Parker stated "I don't need an awnser now. I just want you to think about it Leilani." He said with a smile.
I smiled back and said "Okay Parker. I'll think about it."
He leaned in to kiss me. When I was with Parker, he made me feel safe. Living with him isn't a bad idea. I had to convince my mom.
I thought about how I was gonna ask my mom the whole car ride home.
I knew Parker could protect me. He would do anything for me. He legit took a bullet for me.
I arrived at home and decided to ask my mom. I finally got the nerve to do it.
"Mom, can I move in with Parker?" I asked her suddenly.
She looked at me and smiled. "Yes. You can."
I was caught off guard and I felt my mouth drop.
"He talked to me about it already. He wanted to make sure It was okay with me. I trust him." My mom said.
I slept on it. I would tell Parker the news at school today
My outfit was pretty basic today.

I decided to keep it on the down low.
I also decided to drive myself to school. Parker wasn't aloud to drive anyways.
I arrived at the school. I waited for Parkers bus. He rode bus 4.
Finally, it arrived. My heart started racing.
What if Parker didn't want me to move in with him? What if he didn't want me anymore? What if I was to much.
"Hey." Parker said as he approached me.
"Hey." I said back with a smile trying to hide my fear.
It was quiet for a moment. I knew I had to tell him.
"Yes." I randomly said.
He looked up at me, completely stunned. I didn't know if I should explain or not.
"For moving in." I blurted out.
He looked at me for a second. Then he wrapped his arms around my waist and picked me up.
I wrapped my legs around him and he whispered into my ear.
"I love you Leilani."
