Outcasted amongst Heathens.

The reasons I'll probably never be fully taken seriously among other Heathens is for many reasons:

1.) I'm not extremely judgmental.
A thing I've learned from my time being on serious Heathen groups is that most of them hold on to many of the mindsets Vikings had. Like being judgmental. All I have to say about that is being judgmental isn't a "foundation." Not to be rude but Vikings and other Nordics had to be judgmental when it came to outsiders because it could literally mean life or death. Ripping into one another will cause more rifts in our foundation.

2.) I'm not a dick to Asastru and modern Norse Pagan people.
The Heathens I've encountered are malicious. To be honest I see why Asastru isn't the best example of Norse since it does have Christian elements sprinkled in it. Honestly we need to rebuild and any form of Norse practice helps us take back what's ours and to regain footing.

3.) I don't agree with the concept of 'false kinship.' False kinship is saying we're all the same spiritually. That is not true because we practice our ways differently. Though, I think we do need unity because to quote Abe Lincoln: "United we stand. Divided we fall." No wonder it was basically easy for early Christians to section us off and convert us. I believe we need more unity. If we do not history will repeat itself.

4.) I happen to believe more than what "they" think I should. I believe in Loki, the Nix, Hulder, and various other things that is frowned upon. The belief in the beings mentioned is held over by the Nps. Which is contradictory towards the "we don't all worship alike" bit. Like, Heathens say that but they bitch at people like me just because we worship beings that the main Heathen populace don't. Like that's two different parallels.

5.) I'll always be regarded as inexperienced. Yeah I'm relatively new to Norse Heathen but, I was Np before I wanted to go for the more "authentic" version when I learned what I was able to learn at the moment.

6.) Heathens aren't big fans of premonition dreams. The dreams I do have when it comes to foresight end up happening. Sometimes it's minor other times it's about a serious event. Some Heathens are nice to me about it and say I shouldn't take to much time into it after they happen and others are less polite.

7.) They're afraid of recognition. If we all remain in the shadows we'll become apart of them again. All of our struggles and challenges would be for nothing. If we are so concerned about Asastru taking spotlight and racist Odinists as well then why don't we do something about it?

8.) I'm fascinated with the Vulknut.

9.) I ask "dumb" questions. I get berated or made fun of for no reason. Yeah I was curious so I asked about said topic and I get nagged at.

10.) I have a Christian background. Which is dumb since some Heathens do also have Abrahamic backgrounds. I guess I'm not ashamed about it anymore and I'm open with it and why I inadvertently draw attention in a bad way.

11.) I get labeled a playgan. Which as it sounds a pretender of any form of Paganism. Or to just do it to be trendy or cool.

12.) I'm open to see what big organizations like TAC have to speak of. Even if it's not a good thing I still want to expand my knowledge.

13.) I think we should have more Heathen rep in media like shows or books. We could have actual Heathens play the roles if it's live action. (I even have books centered around Heathen people.)
These are just some things that butter my toast. I'm not mad about this anymore but I felt like it needs to be known. Hence the name of this collection.
