namjoon had been driving for about twenty minutes, stuck in mild traffic on the way into town. he didn't mind it though; listening to jin interacting with his suddenly shy best friends was quite enjoyable to him, and he was looking forward to bullying yoongi about it later.
well... shy only applied to yoongi. hoseok and jin had hit it off like they'd known each other since birth, their conversation spanning from food to clothes to music and of course, back to food. lots of it was filled with hysterical laughter on both sides, and it even had namjoon and yoongi chuckling - the sound of their laughter, mind you, not the jokes that they were laughing at, so nevertheless the journey had turned out to be quite a pleasant one.
this was surprising, considering that both hoseok and yoongi initially had to overcome their embarrassment of being caught by jin as they made out, who was completely unaware of the frisky situation namjoon had left the boys in. maybe that was why yoongi was so quiet.
namjoon zoned back into the conversation, paying closer attention to the traffic ahead of them and the speed at which the car was moving - which was close enough to zero. it was almost 9:45, and they were still 40 minutes away from the club.
groaning in frustration, he hit the steering wheel lightly, jutting his lower lip out. they'd reached a standstill in the traffic, and he turned around to face the three boys. "we might be stuck here for ages," he grumbled.
"it's fine," jin assured from the passenger seat, "how about we play a game to pass the time? i vote 'never have i ever', you know the one?"
"yeah!" hoseok piped up, "i agree, let's play," and so namjoon and yoongi had no choice but to comply.
"who's going first?" namjoon asked, eyeing the road again in case the traffic had moved. (it hadn't).
"i'll go," yoongi said suddenly, spiking a reaction from everyone as they looked at him suspiciously. "what? can't i?"
"yeah, but really?!" hoseok laughed. "you've been so quiet this whole time."
"hey, stop discouraging him!" joked jin, "go ahead."
"never have i ever..." he pondered for a minute, "kissed a celebrity."
holding up ten fingers, hoseok waved them in yoongi's face. "i haven't either," he admitted, "but boy do i wish brad pitt would kiss me." it earned a groan of agreement from jin, and slap on the thigh from yoongi.
"i haven't," namjoon said, "but then again, even if anyone wanted to, they couldn't." he gestured to his mask, and everyone started laughing. "what? it's the truth!" he cried, but soon enough he was laughing too...
...until he realised that jin had one finger down. "what?! you've kissed a celebrity?!"
jin flushed. "well, really, she kissed me-" and the car erupted into chaos. "it's true!" he exclaimed, his blush deepening. "remember i said that i did a couple of modelling jobs? well, one of them was with anne hathaway-" the boys were screaming again, and jin was laughing his chaotic ass off. "she kissed me, and i thought i would fall for her, seeing as she's my favourite actress and everything, but nothing happened. it was quite a disappointing experience, in all honesty."
"you're lying!" hoseok accused, hiccuping and wiping tears from his eyes. "you have got to be kidding me, anne hathaway kissed you..."
namjoon had inched the car forward by a couple of centimetres, but all he could focus on was jin's story, his jaw slack with surprise. "wow, hyung," he murmured, heart-eyed, "you're really cool..."
giggling, jin felt the rosy glow on his cheeks grow. "so are you, jooni-"
"moving swiftly onward," hoseok interrupted as yoongi fake-gagged beside him, "who's going next?"
