the minute jin got in the car, his hands began to sweat.

breathe, he told himself. it's just namjoon. you've known him for a little more than two months and you'll be fine.

pressing start on his navigation, he didn't allow himself to stall for time - he drove directly there, and upon realising he's come empty handed, pulled out a packet of squashies from the glove compartment. He knew they would come in handy at some point.

deep breaths, jin, he reminded himself, number x, just knock, and breathe.

when he eventually found the correct door number in the block of apartments, his head began to ache, but nevertheless he took a step forward. he hesitated once before raising his hand to knock quietly, not wanting to wake the neighbours by pressing the bell.

almost immediately, the door swung open, revealing a man in a mask - he looked young, and jin suddenly realised that never had he asked for namjoon's age. but, he knew his height, and the masked man caused him to tilt his head up. he matched the description that namjoon had supplied him with - pink hair, the exact colour of dimples boy, tall, and a roundish face.

"namjoon?" he said, his voice hushed.

"jin hyung," the man returned.

and jin swooned. the masked stranger's voice was so deep and husky and he felt his inside flip.

"well?" he asked, suppressing his odd emotions for a minute, "are you going to let me in?"

a moment of shuffling passed as namjoon opened the door fully, allowing jin in as he slipped out of his shoes and embraced the warm light and heat from inside the apartment.

"thanks, joon."

"no problem. actually, thank you for coming all the way here so late."

"it's nothing, seriously,"

the conversation grew louder with each passing minute, and yet the awkwardness still lingered in the air - something that jin desperately wanted to get rid of.

the two looked at each other helplessly, jin's teeth catching on his lips, until they broke eye contact, the friction of the situation causing awkward giggles to escape his lips. seconds later, he heard a ping, and he pulled his phone out of his pocket to see;

laughter erupted from within his chest and tumbled out around the room, his hand reaching up to slap his mouth to preserve the peaceful quietness that the area once withheld.

"sorry," he muttered, typing back a quick reply and growing crimson.

"it's fine. actually, i like your laugh."

jin turned ever redder, if possible, and accepted the sweet compliment from the mysteriously dark and hidden stranger that sat on the kitchen stool in front of him.

quickly unlocking his phone, he swallowed back his loud laughter and typed out a swift reply:

@jin.bear:
how could you go against our motto like this
it's only awkward because you made it awkward
