When I watched the live final of Produce48, I cried myself out when Sakura thanked Chaeyeon for her supports all the time and hoping that she could join her to be the chosen 12 members. Such beautiful friendship, that when the host asked Sakura, the one she was thinking at the time was Chaeyeon. I can only imagine how close they were and how much support Chaeyeon has given to Sakura during Produce48 time.

But I never thought of their relationship more than best friend, actually. The opposite is true for Hyewon however. Since after they become IZ*ONE, Hyewon really close to Sakura (or maybe they're already close since Produce48 but we didn't really know because they never showed it on screen) and showing her affection in a kinda "provocating" way. And maybe because I already saw her as a gay since her time on Produce48 (people always say she's Minami's mom, but mind you she said that she's gonna marry Minami! That, and the kissing incident with HOW trainee. The other gay in Produce48 definitely is Yuri, lol. And that's why when Hyewon's together with Yuri they always give this 'dangerous' vibe ——again, it's just my own thinking, lol).

The main character of this story, of course (if you still haven't notice already) is Hyewon. She's the only character that appeared on every chapter, and she's the one who's on the cover (duh). 'Life in Pink' refers to Hyewon's life periods, the period with Minami (symbolized with her pink bike) and Sakura (symbolized with pink blouse, and 'sakura' is a pink colored cherry blossom). The main theme of this story is a love triangle between Hyewon, Sakura, and Chaeyeon. Hyewon is a girl with a trouble from 'the past', Chaeyeon is a girl with a trouble for 'the future', and Sakura is the girl that serves as a token of 'the present', for the present is the only way to move from the past and the only way to go to the future.
