ELLIE'S POV:
Twelve days later
In the twelve days I had been staying with Harry, everything in my life had gotten better. Or at least, appears that way on the outside. Getting to wake up next to him and hear his morning voice was the best birthday present I could've gotten.
"Good morning," I smiled at him, kissing his cheek.
"Good morning," he sighed, his eyes still closed. Kissing his bare chest, I sat up with a sigh.
"We've gotta get up."
"No," he groaned. "I don't wanna."
"C'mon, babe. We've gotta make it through school today and then the festivities can commence," I laughed.
"Who said we had to get through school?" he grinned, lifting his arm and revealing a tiny blue box in his hand.
"Harry," I gaped. "You didn't."
"I did," he grinned. "I know you said just iTunes gift cards, but I couldn't just get you that and still have amazing boyfriend points." Taking the box from his hand, I carefully untied the ribbon. Opening it to reveal a pair of diamond earrings, I felt on the verge of tears.
"Harry, you didn't have t-"
"I know. I wanted to. It's your special day." My phone vibrated against my leg and it must've been the thousandth time my dad had called me.
"Thank you, Harry. I love them," I beamed and tried to ignore the fact that I hadn't talked to my dad in eight days.
"You're welcome, beautiful." His lips were soft against mine and he bumped my nose with his before kissing me again. I loved how he held my face nearly every time we kissed. His hands were gentle against the now faded bruise on my cheek and he rolled on top of me.
"Harry," I giggled as he kissed my neck.
"Hmm?"
"We've got school." No matter how electric his lips felt gliding across my skin and no matter how much I would've rather stayed in bed all day with him, we had to get up. Putting my hands on his warm chest, he looked down at me with a cheeky smile.
"Later," I grinned and kissed him one last time before rolling out from under him and standing on the cool hardwood floor.
"It's only 6:00, baby. School doesn't start until 8:45. That gives us two hours and forty five minutes to do whatever we want," he teased wrapping his arms around my waist.
"Well, baby," I mocked. "I'm not a boy that can just hop out of bed, tousle my hair and look sexy for the rest of the day. Looking as good as I do takes time. And lots of it." Turning me around to face him, he sleepily smiled.
"You're the most beautiful girl in the world," he murmured. "Don't let anyone ever tell you different." Kissing my forehead, he pulled me toward him for a hug and I simply basked in his warmth and scent.
"I'm gonna go shower," I smiled and placed a small kiss to his neck.
"Don't take too long, I might have to come rescue you if you do." Wiggling his eyebrows as I walked toward his bathroom with a laugh, I closed the door behind me. Looking in the mirror, I couldn't believe I was finally seventeen. I didn't look any different, but I felt different. Pulling my Tennessee basketball shirt over my head, I took my hair from the mess of a bun it was in and got in the large, marble shower.
"Knock knock," Harry's voice echoed.
"Harry, I swear."
"I just have to pee," he chuckled.
