Y/N pov:
I looked around my room, I haven't been outside for the past two days. I really didn't feel like it.
"How are you holding up?" Taeyong spoke as he walked into my room. He sat down at the end of my bed, looking me into my eyes. The clock is seven in the evening, the sun about to go down.
I just mumbled a small 'fine', pulling my duvet further up. My eyes are bloodshot, almost black bags under them. I was cold, my skin milky white.
"I saw Jaehyun doing the dishes pretty late, after practice last night. Are you really alright? I haven't seen you the past days," he asked, his voice laced with worry. His eyes scanned my lousy state, clearly not happy with it.
"I'm just a little sick, but about Jaehyun, he did the dishes last night?"
Taeyong nodded, a little smile forming on his appealing face. "Yes, I think he cleaned his own room as well."
I got confused, the feeling of guilt creeping up. This is my job, I am a housekeeper. I can't just lay here in my bed, letting the hardworking idols do my tasks.
"I'm sorry," I mutter out, staring down at my hands laying in my lap.
"Why?"
I didn't say anything else, just sitting up in stead. Taeyong looked at me, wanting an answer.
I sighed before finally giving him an explanation; "For not doing my job and only bringing trouble,"
He just shook his head, smiling softly. He took my cold hands in his, warming them. The feeling was familiar but I couldn't understand how.
"I've missed you," Taeyong mumbled before walking out. I couldn't hear him clearly due to him whispering. I wanted to question him about it but he was gone before I could even take a breath.
¨¨
I wanted to get some fresh air, sick of being inside my room. I didn't want to bother the guys as they're tired because of practice. I didn't want them to ask me about the incident at the halloween party either, no one knows about it but Jaehyun.
I slipped into my black vans, putting on a long jacket as well. I opened the door about to go out into the cold autumn night, but I felt a big hand on my shoulder. I flinched at the sudden contact.
"Where do you think you're going?" a raspy voice asked me, making the hair on my neck raise.
"Uh," I stammered, not wanting to face the person behind me. I knew who exactly who it was. I could feel his breath on my neck, not making it any better.
"I just want to go for a walk."
"This late?"
"Well yeah,"
"And you think that's safe?"
"I mean,"
"Alone?"
I rolled my eyes, finally turning around. My eyes met his dark ones as I looked up at him. I could see he was tired, making me feel guilty yet again.
"Why are you up at twelve am anyway? You're supposed to be asleep by now." I asked him, breaking the eye contact by looking down on my feet.
"I could ask you the same," he shortly said, his voice ice cold. I didn't bother answering, knowing he didn't expect an answer anyway.
"I'll walk with you."
"No, it's fine."
"I'm not letting you walk alone."
"Why not?"
"Not after what happened." His eyes turned even darker, his fist clenching, certainly mad. I just nodded, not wanting to upset him even more.
We just walked in silence, but not an awkward one. My cheeks reddened at the sudden cold air, not used to it yet. The streets were empty. Only a couple of drunks out waddling around. We strolled around the corner, met with a group of young men.
One of them whistled at me just as we neared them. Jaehyun put his arm around me in a protecting manner, pulling me a little closer to him. I got uncomfortable, the men freaking me out. The way they behaved, it reminded me of Juwon.
Jaehyun snapped a 'fuck you' as we passed them, making me snicker. We sat down at a bench in the park, just looking up at the stars. The clouds were gone. It was peaceful, the cold air still hitting me in the face.
"Sorry for not doing my chores, Taeyong told me you had to do it. You have enough with all the practice and concerts," I started talking, still looking up at the sky.
"Don't think about it, it's alright."
He took my chin, turning my head so our eyes met. His eyes were the opposite of cold this time.
"Sorry for being an asshole."
I lightly smiled, saying the same answer he just told me.
"You know those letters?"
I just nodded as a sign for him to go on, curious about what he was going to say.
"They're very personal, I kind of freaked out when I saw you looking at them," he explained, about to continue before I interrupted him, saying he didn't have to say anything more.
It got silent again, the sound of our breaths was the only thing we could hear. He leaned in, our foreheads touching. My own breath hitched. He made me nervous, but I still liked the feeling of him close to me. Our lips were about to meet, but the sudden sound of a phone ringing interrupted us.
"Hello?" I said after answering the call.
"Where are you, Y/N?" Baekhyun asked, sounding stressed. It made me concerned, an uneasy feeling taking over my body.
"I'm in a park, why?"
"Alone?"
I looked over at a slightly annoyed Jaehyun before answering; "No, I'm with one of the members."
"Get. The. Fuck. Inside."
I was about to answer him, but loud sounds interrupted me,
gunshots.
