"I don't think I can do this Jake," I choked out in fear as we stood before the seemingly humongous doors into the school.

"Yes you can, don't worry, you have all of us, and we're going to be with you all day, so you have nothing to stress over," he comforted placing an arm around my shoulders warmly, resulting in even more glares from girls entering the school than I was already getting.

By "us" Jake meant, himself, Lucy, Tiani and Mia. Jake told me to tell them everything and convinced me that they'd understand. Kurt and Drew were there too, and by the end they were literally in tears.

I gathered my confidence and boldly entered the school.

Okay.

Nothing bad has happened in the 0.03 seconds that I've been here so that's a good sign.

I continued on towards my locker, Jake never leaving my side.

So far people had been too wrapped up in their own affairs to notice me.

Good.

I kept my head down, and did everything I could to take attention off of myself. Of course that doesn't exactly work well when you have one of the hottest guys in the school with his arm around you.

He was both a blessing and a burden in this situation.

I got to my locker with a sigh of relief.
Okay this isn't so bad. I could totally do this.

"Alright, look I'm just gonna quickly run and get my stuff for class, I'll only be like a minute or 2 is that okay? So far everything seems normal so I don't think anything bad will happen," Jake stated.

I took a shaky breath and looked around. Maybe it was for the best that he leave me for a little bit. After all, the only reason people even noticed I was at school today is because of him.

"Okay sure, I'll be fine here, don't worry about me," I smiled.

"You sure?" He said sounding unconvinced.

"Jake. I'm fine, really. Just go," I urged with a small chuckle.

"Okay okay I'm going," he laughed. "Sue me for being overprotective," he joked and then disappeared down the hall to his locker.

I smiled shaking my head. That boy is something else.

I continued doing my combination and popped open my locker. Once I'd finished I shut my door closed and let out a tiny squeal of surprise to see Cheryl standing right behind it.

Oh no. Oh no oh no ohnoohnoohno.

"Well well well what do we have here?" She said loudly, making all students who were once going about there own business, now stop and stare at her and I.

"Cheryl. Please just leave me alone." I begged softly with a small crack in my voice.

"Miss Aliya Patterson. Good girl, nerd, turned actually kind of cool only cause of who she hangs out with. You went from being a nobody, to being just a name that people had heard of to being the talk of the entire school."

"Cheryl just stop," I pleaded again, but of course she didn't listen. I knew she wouldn't listen.

"Now why is dear Aliya here the talk of the school you may wonder? Well that's an easy one. She's a filthy murderer!" Cheryl, hissed like the snake she really was, her words laced with venom.
