Black Jack The Running Back's POV

It's funny how everything can change so quickly. I believe that anything and anyone can change, all it takes is a singular moment. That moment was when Aliya got hit by a car and fell into a coma.

Not only was I fearing for one of my friend's who I'd come to really care for, but Lucy was an absolute mess and it broke my heart. She didn't let anyone see her crumbling. She stood tall and acted like everything was under control but in her eyes I could see her breaking. So much has happened all at once. First Jake got stabbed and now this? I feel like I have to be Lucy's rock when she can't be a rock in front of everyone else.

Jake is an absolute mess and Kurt has completely lost his marbles. Then again... did he really ever have them in the first place?

It's been three weeks since Aliya went out and everyone has really been struggling. Who would've thought she'd come to be such an important part in all of our lives? I feel like I could really just talk to her whenever she was around, I could just let down my walls around her. I still can, but it's different now. Now she can't say anything back.

We all like to come in and have a few words with her, even if she isn't listening it's nice to have someone you can tell absolutely anything to. I mean, I can tell Lucy everything as well but that's different. It's easier talking to someone who can't say anything back, and who I don't want to kiss the living crap out of.

So sometimes I just come to visit Aliya to be completely open which sounds totally weird but I don't mind. It feels as if she's still around when I do it, as if I can still have her in my life as the friend she was. It's nice knowing that she can't judge me no matter what I say but I'd still give anything to have her back and see Lucy finally happy again.

"So an update, the violin lessons with the boys are on a roll, they're actually all really awesome guys, we're actually starting to get really good in my opinion, it's like we just click. Especially with Kurt, there's a real bromance starting to blossom there," I chuckled shaking my head fondly. "No wait scratch that, bromance isn't a good enough word. It's...it's...a menbrance!! Yep that's it. A MENBRANCE," I laughed.

"And we all sound great as well, like we're all killing it on the Violin," I started nodding my head with my lips pursed.

"Everyone's...really good," I added, pausing for a few moments after sitting in complete silence.

"Oh who am I kidding I suck OKAY?!?!! I SUCK AT THE VIOLIN!!" I burst out throwing my hands up into the air. "Jake, Kurt and Drew are all insanely gifted and then there's me who makes a beautiful instrument like that sound like a ukulele!! Not even a good ukulele at that!" I huffed shaking my head.

"I mean I just don't get it. How the hell are they all picking it up so easy? It's only been 3 weeks since we've started rehearsing and they're already like professional musicians. It ain't fit, it ain't right, it ain't proper! They keep telling me, "Oh don't worry Black Jack, you'll get there eventually, it was hard for us too when we started learning," but the stupid thing is we started learning at the EXACT SAME TIME!!" I yelled.

"Can you SHUT UP?!" Someone snapped at me from behind in a southern accent. I turned around to see a young girl, not much older than myself actually, standing at the door which was now opened. She was actually quite a pretty little thing, with long dirty brown hair, light freckles dotting her nose and cheeks and gentle warm eyes. She was all dressed in white, obviously a worker here of some description. Perhaps a nurse? Or someone in training?

"I'm sorry I'm sorry...I guess I got pretty animated just then I apologise," I laughed.

She smirked a little before answering, "You do realise she can't talk back to you right?"
