I awoke slowly, my eyes flitting open to a dull blurry world around me. Faint whispers grew louder until I could fully grasp parts of the conversations going on near me.

"So you think she'll be okay?" A familiar voice questioned not too far away from me. Is that..Dawn?? What is she doing here? Wait a second, where am I???

"Oh don't worry she'll be fine physically, but I can't promise that she'll be able to walk out of here with her dignity unharmed," another voice, that of an older man replied.

What's going on? Are they talking about me? What does he mean by my ego — oh CRUD MY WINKLES!! That's when I jolted upright, everything flooding back to me all at once in a series of intense flashes. Mascara, Justin Bieber, Dawn, a massive crowd, FAINTING ON STAGE!! I remembered all of it.

"Well speak of the devil," the man laughed. I snapped my head around to look at him. He was a middle aged man, he looked quite professional and I assumed he was a doctor. "Looks like she's up."

I looked around at where I was briefly. I lay on a plush leather sofa next to a series of cables and speakers, people wearing black rushing past me carrying things left, right and centre. That's when it dawned on me that I was backstage of the flipping Justin Bieber concert!!!! Can this day get any better?! Actually I completely take that back. Can this day get any worse?! I literally not only cried onstage in front of Justin Bieber but I fainted as well!! I've made a complete fool of myself!

"Ali! You're up, how are you feeling love?" Dawn asked rushing over to my side on the sofa. "Ahh not too bad I guess, pretty embarrassed though," I half chuckled, hanging my head in my hands. She chuckled a little as well. "Well I mean, you gotta admit that was pretty awesome what happened up there, even if you did faint."

"I guess you're right," I sighed with a small sad smile. I was humiliated. Utterly humiliated.

"Well looks like I'll be on my way now, somebody will come soon and show you ladies out," the doctor smiled.

"Thanks again Dr. Mordi," Dawn smiled. He was about to leave when he stopped abruptly. "You know, that really isn't my name. I swear. It really is Dr. Harvey," he sighed getting pretty agitated.

Weird.

"Yeah yeah whatever Mordi now get going, thanks again," Dawn shrugged, getting up and shooing him away. She came back and plonked herself beside me once more. I gave her a weird look, urging her to explain.

"Alright well long story short, he looks identical to this guy I once knew a long time ago now called "Mordi" and I swear it's him but he keeps whining and saying "no my name is Harvey!"" She imitated in a high pitched voice flailing her arms around, making me giggle.

"ALI!!" A voice yells from nearby that sounded distinctly like a very stressed out Mia. My eyes locked onto hers as she rushed over to us, shoving innocent stage-crew members out of the way harshly to get to me.

"Excuse me! Excuse me! Coming through, I can be here, I have a pass! Racoon girl is my best friend, so I get to be here! Yeah thats right! Now move it people!" She barked as she shoved her way through to us. She threw herself at me, pulling me into the tightest hug of my life.

"Mia! How did you get in here??" I exclaimed hugging her back just as tightly.

"I told them that I'd come to the concert with you and they gave me a backstage pass!" She squealed excitedly, flashing me the card that hung at the end of the chain she was now wearing around her neck. Afterwards she proceeded to reach into her bag and fling out a few makeup wipes at me. "I came prepared, trust me, you need them," she chuckled and I shot her a grateful smile in return and wiped my black as night eyes.
