Drew's POV
"Hey Ali how's it going? SIKE you can't talk haha," I laugh.
"Okay wow that was mean I'm sorry," I chuckle shaking my head. Wow I am the biggest idiot on the planet...besides Kurt he's a complete freakanoid.
"Look, everyone keeps saying I should come talk to you or whatever, to help with my feelings or something like that I don't know. Personally I think it's a little weird to have a conversation with someone who can't respond but oh well if it makes everyone else happy I'll do it," I sigh.
I sit there awkwardly. What am I even supposed to talk about? Like I love Aliya and it kills me to see her like this and how sad it makes Mia...but....Aliya and I weren't SUPER close in the first place. I don't really have a lot to talk about with her even when she's actually awake.
I look around the room uncomfortably, a clock ticks softly in the background as the seconds go bye. How the hell did I manage to make it awkward with someone who isn't even awake?
"Sooooooooooo," I begin. "What to discus ay?" I chuckle.
"How's Jake?" I laugh with a wink. No that's stupid, why did I ask that? Why did I decide to lead with a question she obviously can't respond. This just keeps getting weirder.
"Yea that was a dumb thing to say ummmmm...yeaaaaah," I sigh pursing my lips together and nodding my head.
"Well this was fun, good to see you Als, you're looking great today, keep up the good work old chap, I'll be on my way," I smile and wave goodbye.
"Why did I wave? She obviously can't see me wave, ugh focus Drew," I mumble under my breath as I stand up and walk out the door.
As I'm lost in my own thoughts I walk straight into a white figure.
"Oh I'm so sorry I didn't see you there I-"
"Oh no don't worry about it I was paying attention and I-"
"No seriously, my fault-"
"No honestly I'm such a klutz and-"
"I wasn't looking where I was going and-"
"IM SORRY," we both said in sync.
We both burst out laughing. Before me stood a girl around my age, she had bright green eyes with long dark eye lashes. Her dark, sandy blonde hair was tied up behind her with a few pieces out framing her face. She was dressed all in white and had a clipboard clutched against her chest. Obviously she works here or something.
"You're coming from room 104 I see," she observed nodding in the direction of Aliya's room. "We get a lot of visitors there, like, who is she? The pope or something?" She chuckled, her whole face lit up by her smile.
I laughed along with her. "No no she just has a lot of people who really miss her," I smiled fondly.
"Well that's a wee bit cute ain't it?" She smiled. "How do you know her?" She asked conversationally.
"She's best friends with my girlfriend," I informed her, grinning to myself at the thought of Mia.
"And so you just like to come visit and perv on her while she's in a coma when your girlfriend isn't around?" She giggled.
"What?! No! No that's...gross that's weird, that's just-"
"Mmmhmmm say what you will, I bet you have some kind of messed up fettish for unconscious girls," she said looking me up and down with a cheeky smile.
"You are insane," I said rolling my eyes.
"Insanely awesome," she added with a pointed finger in the air.
