Based on the film Pompeii(2014)

Greece had always lived in peace with the horsemen who lived at the side of the country until king Andreas started to attack them. He eradicated the whole tribe but one little boy survived. Some soldiers found him and sold him to a slave trader. Now the boy is eighteen and replaced to Athens. Everyone knows him as the Thracian, the only one who survived King Andreas' eradicating. What happens when Annabeth, the daughter of Sir Frederick, a Well know architect and gouverner of Attica, and the Thracian meet...

"Get up, stupid brats! Get up!"
The locks opened and everyone got out of his cell. Immediately our hands were cuffed with large metallic handcuffs and we were led outside. Today we would be transferred to Athens.

Half way through the journey a carriage crossed our path. Right when it passed us, one of the wheels got stuck in the dirt and caused one of the horses to collapse on the ground. The other horse pranced and made the passengers of the carriage shriek. Two girls appeared out of the opening in the door and one of them jumped out. She ran towards the horse and knelt beside it.
"What's wrong with him? Mal, help him!"
The girl yelled at the driver ,while she tried to calm down the horse.
I started to ruck at my chains and tried to get to the horse.
"Stop that, Thracian!"
The slave trader said. I held my hands up so he could unlock it.
"Let me help."
The slave trader shook his head and tried to push me back but he wasn't strong enough to even move me a little bit.
"I said: let me help."
I gritted through my teeth. It took all of my self-control to not hit him in the face right that moment and drag everyone with me to help the poor horse.
In the mean time the horse was still convulsing and shaking. The girl stood back up.
"Let him free."
The slave trader looked at her like she was crazy.
"I said: let him free!"
The girl shouted. Her grey eyes were dark and looked like a storm with other words she was terrifying.
The slave trader quickly freed me and I ran to the horse. I knelt down next to it and looked up at the girl.
"Help me. Push on his leg, like this"
I showed her how to do it.
"So he doesn't feel anything."
The girl nodded and did what I asked. I moved to the other side and grabbed the horse's head. With one smooth movement I broke it's neck and laid it back down. Everyone stared at me with wide eyes. The slave trader quickly got out of his shock and pulled me back. He forced my hands back in the handcuffs and slapped me in the face.
The blond girl stared at me but not like all the others, it seemed like she understood why I had done it.
"I'm really sorry for that, Ma'am. My excuses."
The slave trader said to the girl. He bowed and rucked at our chains.
"Come on, you brats! Move!"
He pulled at our chains again and we all started walking. A few minutes later I looked back and saw the blonde watching me leave.

Annabeth's POV

I watched as the boy disappeared from my view. I don't know why but he had something special.
"Annabeth? Annabeth?!"
I turned around to Piper.
"Are you alright? What a brute! Why did he do that?!"
I sighed and stood up.
"He did what was needed."
I said and walked back into the carriage. The men had gotten it out of the mud and replaced the horse.
"Wait!"
Piper yelled. She jumped in after me.
"What do you mean: 'He did what was needed'. Instead of helping, he killed that poor horse!"
I sighed.
"Like I said: he did what was needed. He spared the horse lots of pain. He couldn't let the poor animal suffer.."
I placed my chin on my hand and looked outside in the direction that the slaves went.
'What would happen to him? And why do they call him Thracian?'

Percy's POV

I sat down at the table and started eating my soup (I guess it was supposed to be soup. Doesn't matter as long as it tastes good) when a knife landed next to my hand.
"Well Newby... they say you're unbeatable but I think they just sent you here to get rid of you, isn't it?"
I looked up. A man with greasy brown hair and dark black eyes leaned over me and grabbed his knife out of the wood.
"Now tell us...what's the name of our little hero here?"
I just looked back down at my bowl and ate an other spoon full of soup.
That idiot was just a waste of my time. I'd rather sit down and eat than talk to him.
"I said."
He yelled angry and slammed his fist on the table.
"What's your name, Thracian ?!"
When I didn't answer he took his knife and tried to attack me.
Keyword:tried. Before he even could come close, I had gripped his arm, turned him around and pushed him on the ground. I turned around to my table but was met with one of the idiot's friends. The bulky man tried to punch me but I dodged and punched him in the gut. He doubled over in pain and I smashed him in the face. An other man started to attack me and the fight broke lose. Men punched, blood flowed everywhere and 'fight! Fight! Fight!' chanted through the room.
Soon every men in the room was smashing or punching and the guards had to interfere to separate everybody. Two guards took my arms, pulled me away from one of those idiots, who decided to attack me earlier, and dragged me into a cell.
