Surprise visit

They're no demigods but normal mortals. By the way they're both YouTubers and have been friends since they were little. They're dating.

Alex's POV

I scrolled through my YouTube and saw that my favourite YouTuber had uploaded a new video. It said: Surprising my girlfriend in San Fran. I quickly clicked on it and the video started.
Percy's intro started playing and after a few seconds his face appeared.

"Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel! Today is a good day 'cause I'm gonna do something really crazy."

He was walking outside and holding his camera up with his right hand while his left was holding something that looked like a ticket.

"Like you all probably already now; I have a girlfriend, whom I really love, and for the ones who don't know. Her name's Annabeth and she's really smart and beautiful and brave and funny and... you get the point."

A lovestruck smile appeared on his lips. I had seen her before. They had made a lot of videos together when Annabeth was still living in New York, but her Dad got promoted and they had to move to San Francisco. It's not like they let it break them. Even if they're on the other side of the country, they still make it work and love each other.

"I really love her but we haven't seen each other for more than 2 month now due to school and other stuff. So I have decided to take the plane to San Fran and surprise her!"

Wow... I knew he loved her but that he would just take a plane from New York to San Francisco to surprise his girlfriend. And don't forget the fact that he's afraid of flying. That's so cute!!!! Euheum...right, I didn't just say that. It's not like I ship them or something, absolutely not.

"So now I'm gonna pack everything and get ready to get on the plane."

He entered his home and was welcomed by his mom's voice.

"Hey Sweetheart."
"Hey mom,"
He kissed his mom's cheek and stole a blue cookie from the plate she was holding.
"Say hi to everyone."
Sally waved and smacked her son's hand playfully. Percy just smiled and went upstairs.
"So lately we both have been really busy. I had my swim meets and she is busy with her job and school. With other words we haven't been able to chat and call as much as we wanted lately and I really miss her. So I called one of her friends and together with Annabeth's Dad we made up a plan. Apparently Annabeth has been overworking herself, again, and she is a bit down because we haven't seen each other lately and other stuff... and now I have a few days off from school so I decided to surprise her with a visite!"

He seemed so happy. He was grinning like a madman and packing his suitcase while talking to the camera, that he had put on his desk.

"Well I have to hurry now 'cause my plane will leave in 3 hours and it is a thirty minute drive to the airport so I'm gonna go now. I probably can't record in the plane but I'm gonna try. See you all in California!

The screen went black and then their was a time laps. We saw Percy taking his bags, riding to the airport, saying goodbye to his mother, waiting at the airport, sitting in the plane and walking in the other airport. Then the screen went black again. When it brightened again you could see Percy and Annabeth's Dad, Frederick Chase. I had seen him once or twice. He had appeared in one of their videos: kids VS parents. Right now they were driving in the car.

"So Percy, how are you gonna surprise Anna?"
Frederick said, not taking his eyes of the road.
"Honestly...I don't know. I was too excited to see Annabeth again but Sophie told me something about a prom?"
Frederick nodded and smiled.
"Yeah, Anna's school is hosting a prom this week but she doesn't want to go, partly because she doesn't like proms or parties in general and partly because she doesn't want to go to a prom without you..."
Percy smiled at that and shook his head.
"Her friends are trying to convince her but I think they need some help, don't you think?"
Percy smirked.
"Yeah... and I now the perfect person for that."
