jin was comfortably sitting in the corner of taehyung's couch, staying silent and lost in thought. jimin, jungkook, taehyung, and jin were hanging out, especially because it's been quite a while since they have. they had ordered three boxes of pizza, one being property of jin only.
the boys were all currently deciding on where to go, since they had all grown bored. each person suggested ideas, but jin. he was silent the whole time, confusing the rest of them when they'd eventually noticed. out of everyone, jin was never one to be quiet, so something must've really been bothering him. "why would we go to a restaurant when we just ate?!" jimin shouts at taehyung, of disbelief. "the real question is, what's wrong with jin?" jungkook chimes in, abruptly snapping jin out his thoughts.
taehyung and jimin both looked over to jin, making the man embarrassed.
"nothing's wrong" he lies, playing it off as tiredness. "i'm just tired, that's all" jungkook cocks an eyebrow upward, making jin finally give in. "fine. it's because of this guy i met. he seems nice and i have no problems with him, but i think he's telling people that we're dating..." he lets out. "why do you think that?". jin deeply exhales, "because his little brother told me" jimin was the first to burst into laughter. "y-you're believing a little kid? you're really stressing over something that a little kid told you?!" jimin continues to laugh, until his lungs almost gave out. "yeah jin, that's like believing something jungkook tells you." taehyung adds, jokingly. "hey! how the fuck did i get dragged into this?" he playfully snaps back.
"anyways, are you still having a hard time sleeping?" jimin curiously asks. "yeah. i can't find rj anywhere and without him i've been having nightmares almost every night- and every time i wake up from one, i can never go back to sleep, so i just stay awake until the morning comes" "what?!" taehyung exclaims. "that's unhealthy jin, you're gonna get a sleeping disorder if you keep it up" he scolds, and the other two agree.
"well, that must explain the HUGE eye-bags under your eyes" jungkook laughs, lightening the mood a bit. "oh, and about that guy you were talking about... who is he?". "his name is namjoon"
all their jaws dropped. "YOONGI'S EX NAMJOON?" jin's eyes go wide at the statement, gasping in shock. "wait... they've dated before?!" jin asks, now feeling suddenly a bit guilty. "uh, yeah! they dated for like a month until namjoon cheated on him. don't you remember?" jin's mouth goes dry. namjoon cheated on his best friend's boyfriend? "oh rightttt... jin didn't even know yoongi at the time. remember? he met yoongi off of hoseok when they started dating" taehyung reminds them.
"ohhhhh" they both say, finally remembering. "wait, what?! namjoon cheated on yoongi?" jin asks, suddenly rethinking everything. he then tried to think of any other reasoning behind it. maybe it was another namjoon? all he knew was that this was all way too hard to believe, and he wanted to search for another explanation. "are you sure it was the same one? maybe yoongi dated another namj-" "is this the namjoon you're talking about?" jimin suddenly shoves his phone in jin's face, displaying a picture of himself with namjoon.
jin goes speechless. although namjoon's hair was not the same anymore, jin knew the answer to the question. "is that him?" jimin repeats.
"yes..." jin bit his lip of embarrassment.
