jin pulls his pink silk pyjama set out from his suitcase, and slips each item of clothing onto his body. once he completes the task, he goes into the second compartment of his suitcase to find his favourite stuffed alpaca. or rj.the grown man had never really grown out of sleeping with a stuffed animal. just the feeling of holding it made him feel.. safe. it made him feel like he had someone he could talk to. the whole thing sounded stupid and childish, but rj was like jin's best friend. jin never had anyone to talk to growing up, so every night after a long day, he would hold rj close and talk to him about everything.
not to mention the traumatic youth he'd gone through. hearing his parents fight every night always kept him awake, worried about his family's future. as a little boy, hearing them speak about divorce was hard. and the worst was when 6 year old jin accidentally overheard a conversation between his parents talking about how much of a mistake he was. they were just ready to put him up for adoption and jin cried about it every night. he couldn't even enjoy school, knowing how scary it would be to come home. but through it all, jin always had rj. he always had him to talk to throughout everything.
he needed rj so he wouldn't be lonely. so he felt safe.

"jin, what's wrong?" hoseok noticed that jin seemed a bit off, and was beginning to grow worried. "i can't find rj!!" he panics, searching throughout his whole suitcase one more time, just to double check. he had been throwing his belongings all over the room in the meantime, not even caring about how much he'd have to clean up later on.
"why do you need him so badly, anyways? can't you just go one night without him?" "i can't! you don't understand, hoseok!" the elder snaps back. hoseok was startled by his sudden rising in tone, and jin sighs. "i'm sorry." he pouts, lowering his voice. "i just don't know how i'm gonna sleep without him. he makes me feel safe". hoseok understood his logic, and felt bad. he knew how much jin struggled with going to sleep, and this clearly stressed him out even more.
"how about i sleep with you? is that okay?"

hoseok was beginning to fall asleep, but catches himself doing it early enough for him to snap out of it. when he opens his eyes, he notices jin clinging to him in the dark room they were in. hoseok offered to let jin hold him as a substitute of rj, and jin gladly accepted it. the elder had been comfortably sleeping in hoseok's embrace, their quiet breathing being the only noise in the room. their arms were softly wrapped around each other and hoseok took the time to admire jin. the moonlight spilling from the window rested again the boy's face, smoothly highlighting his features, making hoseok let out a small smile.
although jin was older than him, he was always portrayed as a younger brother to hoseok.
he slips from jin's grasp, considerately, but freezes when jin flinches. jin then continues to sleep, giving hoseok a que to leave. he goes over to his bedroom, finding his boyfriend sitting on the bed. "is he asleep?" yoongi asks, hoseok's response being a tired nod. he walks over to his bed, flopping down onto it. yoongi gently strokes his boyfriend's hair, sheepishly smiling. "what?" hoseok raises an eyebrow, and yoongi scrunches his eyebrows together, "what do you mean 'what'?" he softly chuckles.
"why are you smiling at me so weirdly?"
yoongi smiles, letting his hand fall against hoseok's smooth cheek. "you're just really pretty... that's all" he leans down to peck hoseok's peach coloured lips, dropping onto the bed and laying down beside him. "good night, angel" hoseok says, as he wraps his arms gently around yoongi.
