"jin!" hoseok calls out in relief, speed walking toward the boy in the waiting room. jin stood up at the call of his name and the sight of hoseok. they quickly wraps their arms around each other, hoseok tightly squeezing jin.
jin looked awful. it looked like he'd been crying for hours. his eyes were puffy and red, his lips were slightly quivering, his hair messy, his nose red, his face swollen, and his cheeks stained with what seemed to be tears. during their hug, hoseok heard jin whisper something to himself, along the lines of 'it's all my fault'.
at this point, the only thing really getting to jin's head was the trauma. the scenario of namjoon bleeding out replayed in his head countless times, and that's what was scaring him at this point.
"it's not your fault, jin" hoseok promises. "how could you have known this would've happened?" jin stayed quiet. "it's not your fault..." hoseok turns to his boyfriend, for support. "right yoongi?" yoongi's head immediately snaps up from his phone. "yeah." then he walks toward jin, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"namjoon will be okay. it's not your fault, i promise. whether i'm his ex or not, namjoon is a really strong person... i'll admit that." he chuckles a bit at his last statement. both jin and hoseok were shocked by yoongi's attitude. from what jin remembers, he's never sounded this sympathetic before. "so, honestly, there's no doubt in my mind that he'll make it out even stronger than before."
jin cracks a slight smile at the thought. "i guess.."
"excuse me, kim seokjin?" a doctor calls from behind. all the boys turn around. the doctor opens her mouth to talk.
"if you don't mind, can we speak for a minute?"
