"is this comfortable?" namjoon asks, finally choosing a position to stay in. jin nods, giving a partly forced smile - he was still a bit shaken up from his nightmare. "thank you for doing this namjoon. i'm sorry for waking you up" he pouts, feeling bad that he'd just woken the man up.

at the beginning of the night, jin told namjoon that he'd try make it through the night without any interruptions, or without holding anything. it was going well until suddenly just a few minutes ago, jin forcefully woke himself up.

"i'm sorry, i p-promise i wont ever do it again!" jin apologizes, begging for taemin to let go of him. "think twice about hanging out with someone without telling me next time" taemin growls, throwing jin in the empty room. "p-please d-don't! i'm s-sorry!" jin sobs, "i'll do a-anything to make it up to you! i love you!" he cries. "please don't" he chokes out, before taemin shut the door, locking it on the the side only he could access. jin presses his back against the cold wall, looking around the dark room nervously. his breathing becomes heavier by the second, as he silently wails to himself.

jin quickly wakes up, a layer of uncomfortable, sticky sweat covering his whole body as he tries to calm himself down. this just results in him breaking down- and quite loudly, in that matter. he, of course, was trying his best to stay as quiet as possible, but it was obviously not working as well as he'd thought. jin hadn't even realized how loud he was being until namjoon walks into his room, with a look of worry on his face. "what's wrong?" he frowns at the glistening tears scattered across jin's face. the only light had been the moon's natural glow from outside, but namjoon was quick to rush to jin's side and turn the lamp on.

"why are you crying?" he repeats, only to receive even thicker sobs from the elder. namjoon felt bad to be sitting in front of jin, not even doing anything to try and help. that's when he finally decides to scoot closer to the boy, and wrap his arms softly around him. jin was trembling more than it seemed, which really put namjoon in shock. whatever jin dreamt about must've been really bad to put him in a state like this. "it's okay, i'm here now" the younger coos, gently patting jin's head. the word to perfectly describe jin's state as of now was scared. not thinking straight, he cries to namjoon;

"don't t-turn out like him... p-please". and with that, jin clung as tightly to namjoon that he could.

"joonie!!" miyoon exclaims, jumping into his arms. "yoons!" he mirrors his reaction, bending down to hug the boy tightly. "i missed you!" namjoon beams widely, the sudden feeling of butterflies in his stomach when he feels miyoon's tiny arms wrap around him as far as they could go. "i miss you too" he giggles. "where your boyfwiend go?" the youngest pouts, after looking around the room to see no sight of jin. "he went home"

a small part of him wanted to correct miyoon whenever he referred to jin as his 'boyfriend', but the rest of him didn't even mind it the slightest bit, so he never bothered.

namjoon stands back up, thanking his mother for dropping the boy off with him. "call me when you want me to come pick him up" she gives a small smile, leaving shortly after.

"soooo... what will we do today, joon-hyung?" the boy innocently asks, rocking back and forth on his heels. namjoon then cheerfully informs the boy, "i actually have someone i want you to meet." he smiles, removing miyoon's coat and shoes in the meantime. he carries miyoon to the couch, leaving him with his phone that'd been opened to the child's favourite game, while he made him a sandwich. suddenly, miyoon's game was inturrupted when an incoming call appeared on the screen. "j...i.....n?" miyoon tries to quietly sound out, gasping when he realized who it was. he lightly taps the green answer button, using both hands to hold the big phone to his ear.

"hey, namjoon?" jin began. "hewwo joonie's fwiend!" he responds. namjoon lifts his head confusedly, at the sound of miyoon talking to someone, eyes going wide when he realized miyoon probably accidentally dialled someone. "oh, miyoon? is that you?" jin asks. "yeah!" "hi miyoon! is your brother there?" miyoon playfully smirks, deciding to mess with him. "no" he lies, giggling quietly. namjoon raises an eyebrow, finally deciding to go take the phone from him. he speed-walks over to miyoon, groaning when the boy gets up from the couch, running away with his phone.

"well, can you tell namjoon to call me back as soon as possible? it's important." miyoon giggles, but louder this time. "o-okay! bye!". just as he was ready to end the call, namjoon grabs the boy from behind, snatching the phone from him. "hello?" he raises the phone to his ear, curious as to who miyoon had dialled. "namjoon, oh, hi!" jin nervously replied. "listen, i'm really sorry if miyoon dialled you. i gave him my phone and-" "what? no, no. i was the one that called" he lets out a forced chuckle. "wait, why?" namjoon wrinkles his forehead.

"i- i, um.... can y-you do me a huge favour?" "yeah, sure" namjoon replies, still holding miyoon hostage in his arms.

"i..." jin takes a deep breath. "i need you to pretend to be my boyfriend" he blurts out.
