There was nothing left for her to say. Not a single word. She just stood there in silence, mouth open in shock, the setting sun blinding her as she watched her best friend walk away. As if that actually just happened. She wanted to know who started that rumour, how they sleep at night and whether or not they got the desired effect. I bet it was Haley. Of course, it was Haley. She had always wanted Mike for herself, nothing knew there. So, by telling Stacy that her best friend had slept with her boyfriend, behind her back, Stacy and Mike would break up. Therefore, Stacy would rage and fall out with Millie. And guess what? That seems to be exactly how it went down. Stacy was walking away from Millie who stood there speechless at the accusations her best friend had just thrown at her. How could she possibly believe that? Millie does not even like Mike, never once has she found him attractive, yet apparently, she had slept with him. Millie wanted to find whoever created that rumour- cough Stacy cough- and strangle them. Ten years of friendship all boiling down to one stupid rumour that destroys the world.
