A week later at the New York Institute I slowly woke up from my dream and saw that I was on my stomach still healing slowly but surely when I opened my eyes I saw Izzy changing my bandages then I spoke up and said"Izzy wha...what's happened so far," then Izzy spoke up and said"Nadi you've been out for a few days I've been changing the bandages since your incident with a Shax Demon it's claws had poison venom on its claws it slashed you from your left shoulder down and across your back leaving a really nasty scar," then I nodded before groaning in pain as I can feel my vision of my past coming back to me then I was out once again. My vision turning black once more... Flashback to when Alec and Nadia were kids and they used to take care of each other* ~Nadia Gray's POV~

Alec and I were still kids we were running outside in the freezing snow on December 18th, 1993 we were best friends still and so I went out without my coat while Alec and I were playing tag the two of us loved playing tag in front of the Angel of Raziel Statue, suddenly I stopped so Alec catches up with me I was getting a fever from not having my coat on. My mother was with Mrs. Lightwood talking about Alec and I's future when we get older but then as Alec approached me I slowly turned to him and felt faint as I took 2 steps towards him before he spoke up and said"Nadia are you alright you look ill," then I spoke and said"Alec... I feel faint and cold," before I fell into his arms (literally) so then Alec carried me in his arms too where our moms were at talking then my mother saw me in Alec's arms unconscious. The next thing I know is that I'm in my bed with a warms towel on my forehead I look over to see Alec beside me on my bed he seemed worried before my mother came into the room and sat on the opposite side of where Alec was sitting and held my hand saying"He's been here all night never left except to eat or use the bathroom but that's it he truly cares for you my darling girl," then Alec woke up and saw me awake. ~Alec Lightwood's POV~
