Chapter 32: The Competition

*At the New York Institute three days later outside in the courtyard in the back*
~Nadia Gray's POV~

In the courtyard outside of the New York Institute I was in my fighting outfit holding my sais in both hands my Aunt Danielle Gray here with me preparing me for today's competition she and I changed our outfits and she's young like she's 30 but looks really young. Our outfits were like this.

My Aunt spoke and said"You can't keep doubting yourself Nadia," then I got my weapons and said"No I don't I'm stronger than this," as we continued to fight with sais before she switched weapons to a sword so I did a back flip and pulled out my sword, and our swords clanged together my Aunt Danielle was smart and clever knowing that my opponents or enemies won't be easy on me.

*Meanwhile somewhere in the Institute that morning with Maryse and Izzy in the training room*
~Isabelle Lightwood's POV~

My mother and I were training for today's competition between Clary, Alec, Nadia, and myself later today around 2pm this is to see whose stronger and smarter than there opponent my mother taught me some of her old moves that she learned at my age while she tells me a story about how Nadia's mother and Aunt beat her and our Aunt when they were our age. I was on the ground with my mother pointing her sword at me and said"You keep on doubting yourself Isabelle think with your heart and head," then I got up and said"No I'm not I'm smarter than this than them," so mother backed away and said"Then prove it to me outsmart me and beat me," and we continued training.
~Alec Lightwood's POV~

I was holding Jewel in my arms carrying her while Nadia was busy training for today's competition I trained this morning with my dad but Izzy needs some work so that's why Mom was working with Izzy as I'm on baby duty so right now I'm gonna train Jewel how to walk so Nadi will be surprised. Then as I did we watched as my mom was going rough on Izzy then mother taught her some of her old moves that she learned at her age while she tells Izzy a story about how Nadia's mother and Aunt beat her and our Aunt when they were our age. This is gonna be tough cause we all worked really hard for today's competition...

It was now time for the event of this Competition to begin first up would be Alec vs. Clary with there competition of swords and sais to see whose smarter and cleverer than there opponents while Izzy and Nadia were still practicing with their Mom and Aunt helping them Nadia wanted to win this so she could make her parents proud.
~Nadia Gray's POV~

I was still training with my Aunt Danielle she was going harder on me and then afterwards I was handed Jewel by Alec's dad so then as we stood there in the crowd watching Alec and Clary battle it out for 10 minutes now so far Clary was outsmarting Alec (that's funny) finally in the end of the match Alec beat Clary now it was mine and Izzy's match may the best Shadowhunter win.
