A smirk.
A giggle.
A small corner grin.
Any facial gesture equivalent to that of a smile rotated on Taehyung's face as he found an interesting amusement on the cards that fate has decided to deal him.
The annoyance on her face aroused his interest even more.
"Yes booth girl. It's me, 'Rolex' as you so affectionate called me. However, I would prefer Mr. Kim because that is the proper way colleagues should address each other. Just like I should address you as...?"
He lingered his statement waiting for an answer.
She takes a long sigh as she tosses her hair out of her face and rotates her tongue against her cheek.
"Huh." She responds.
Taehyung's eyes simmered at this gesture as he pondered what she could be thinking when performing such an act.
"Harper. You can call me Miss Harper." she finally responds.
Hmm...Taehyung mentally groans. "Harper? Do you not have a first name Harper?" He charmed.
The resonant of his voice jarred her core as she stared, briefly wondering how such a rich and full-bodied tone could belong to him. Even the subtle charm he strove for after his unintentional insult this past weekend didn't compare. Nothing of his appearance then had not even a smidgen of what was in the midst of her now.
She quickly regained her thoughts and scoffed. She was not about to allow some high leveled corporate type penetrate her professionalism.
"I don't recall you giving me yours, Taehyung." The dragged expression of his name was followed by a head tilt.
Taehyung's brows raised quickly before he forced them to relax. His pink lips held a thin line in attempt to evoke intimidation. He's not used to being called by his first name at the office. Giving her a piecing gaze, he expected her to look away but she held it with a firm grip.
Damn. It was so easy for her to retract this weekend. Different setting. Different personality.
"You know my name?" He grinned at his own rhetoric.
"I think the entire company knows your name. You know, with you about to take over and what not." She reminded.
"Of course." He grinned. "Allow me to do this properly then." He leaned away from his desk and approached her while extending out his hand. "My name is Kim Taehyung and yours?"
She glanced down at his hand and quirked an eyebrow as she reciprocated his shake. "Sierra Harper."
"It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Harper." His voice lowered an octave to her surname.
She smiled politely at him to ignore the way her name dripped from his voice.
"So..." he began and pulled his hand away. "I asked my assistant to call IT and you showed up so I assume that is your area of expertise?" He smiled.
"If you are acquiring about my position Mr. Kim, I am the IT manager. Since the call came from you, our soon to be new boss, it was only fair I come assess the problem myself and to acquaint you to my department for any assistance of your future needs." She spoke firmly.
IT Manager. Impressive. "Hmm, so computers and comic books?" His smile suggested one of curiosity but he was sure she would take it as something other than.
"Don't stereotype me Rolex. As I can recall, you were the one giddy over some anime art." Sierra countered.
Taehyung chuckled internally at her sass. Hmm, got me there.
