In an aggravated silence, Sierra read Taehyung's last message, eyes leering while swears tickled her lips, fighting to break through the shred of patience that lingered for him.
He is...ugh...Wait. Calm down Sierra. If he makes you this angry then he owns you and I'll be damned. Sierra took cavernous exhale and glanced down at the message once more before setting up a ride service to take her to the Upper West Side.
After a zigzag through traffic, she arrived at his residence. In a nervous habit, she gripped her lip in a tight hold against her teeth as she paced steady to the doors of building.
Of course he's in a loft. She mumbled while the elevator took her up to the top floor. A instant flashback of a kiss they shared surrendered her thoughts. Sierra shook her head to remove it. A deep breath she inhaled became tight against her chest while the vision continued to play. Stop thinking of that! Jolted from the ding that alarmed in the small space, the double doors of the elevator opened and she stepped inside, greeted by the tenant of the residence.
"Miss Harper." He spoke.
The crisp white t-shirt that clung to every mass of his broad, toned structure was a sight Sierra could not steer away from. A deep swallow glides down her throat while observing the smooth, fitting black jeans that hugged him in all the right places. A wave a heat sauntered over Sierra, piercing every cell in her body, her heartbeat was caught between breaths.
God damnit! She cursed herself again.
"Miss..."
"Yes!" She blurted to keep his velvet voice at bay for the moment.
A quiet scoff slipped through Taehyung's captivating grin, assessing the obvious change in Sierra's demeanor.
"Have a seat Miss Harper." His smooth voice bellowed as he extended his hand for her to proceed into the sitting area.
"I'd rather stand if you don't mind. I don't want to take up any of your time, Mr. Kim." Sierra stated while her gaze observed the surroundings.
Taehyung nodded. "Very well. May I interest you in beverage?"
"No, I'm fine." Sierra answered with haste while attempting to avert her sight elsewhere.
Taehyung inched closer to her as he eased his hands into his pockets. "I believe an apology is in order but I'm not sure if I should be the one to submiting."
Regardless of how much he was making her heart breakdance inside her chest, the smug tone of his voice wasn't easy to dismiss. Sierra's gaze narrowed.
"Excuse me?"
Taehyung folded his arms against his chest, allowing the prominent outline of his biceps visibility. "I said, I don't think I should be the one to submit."
Sierra rotated her tongue against her cheek. This smug...take a breath Sierra. "Is that so Mr. Kim? On what grounds do you feel liable of making such a statement?"
Taehyung's gaze perked. Intriguing as always. "Do you remember, that little stunt you pulled in your office?" Taehyung stepped even closer to her, feeling the breath from her now parted lips. "Do you?" he whispered.
Sierra's chest fell heavily from the absence of space between them. "If my memory serves me correctly, you were the one who initiated this little game first. Remember the day after your drunken sleepover?" She raised an inferior brow.
Taehyung leaned towards her. His gaze cowled, latched onto her lips as his thoughts screamed for him to take them to his. The desire was growing by the second. "You liked it. It made you want more and that's why you kissed me. Admit it, you couldn't stop thinking of it."
